Just think of the Tiger Woods comercial when he ask the clerk do you accept checks and he holds up one of those big checks.

Custom Oversized Checks, Custom Large checks, Presentation checks,Novelty Checks, Charity Checks (http://www.signazon.com/oversized-checks.aspx) Not really.

I love to buy one of these to celebrate my parents B-Day gift to me each year. They always send a card with $20 in it. I like to take a picture of me holding a giant check written out for $20 and send it to the rest of my family as a joke. Why they send me $20 is beyond me...I am 36 have a career etc...just a card will do.

For everything but I only write a few checks a month. I pay all my bills by credit card then just write one check to the credit card co. So I guess I write 5 to 6 checks a month.

I made a similar mistake the first time I bought something online. Back in college I went to buy my dad a birthday present. He has UMD football season tickets and loves to tailgate so I thought I wanted to get him one of those tin buckets that you keep beer and ice in, like this:

But what I actually paid like $30 dollars for (and this was when I was a broke college student so that was a TON of money) was a metal version of this:

The lesson: read the description. And don't drink and online shop.

I buy alot of stuff on line just didn't think of checking the size descrition for checks. Now I bet they want $89 for a binder to hold these checks.

Never had a bad experience buying stuff online and I have been doing it since 1998. I always buy from reputable storefronts and read the fine prints.
