SmootSmack 04-15-2010, 02:32 PM And Jammal Brown is still very much in play as well. johno 04-15-2010, 02:37 PM i agree with tryfhul - this is the sort of stuff i love seeing, SmootSmack. i'd rather read your rumors than anyone elses. An above average starting cornerback >> a servicable RT. agreed on both counts. on colon - what would be be giving up? just rogers? lastly, man i cant wait until the draft. tryfuhl 04-15-2010, 02:41 PM And Jammal Brown is still very much in play as well. gotta love the looks at youth here edit: wrong guy I was thinking of Dirtbag59 04-15-2010, 02:43 PM 29 year old Tackle? We don't really have to ammo to pull that off do we? Maybe for a second next year but still I don't want to continue to trade picks. SmootSmack 04-15-2010, 02:46 PM agreed on both counts. on colon - what would be be giving up? just rogers? lastly, man i cant wait until the draft. I have no idea what we'd be giving up. We inquired about both Marcus McNeill and Jermon Bushrod but both seem to have fallen by the wayside. Focus looks to now be on Brown and Colon. Some say Donald Penn as well, but I'm not so sure about that one. Hypothetical. If Berry slips to us at 4, would you trade Landry for Brown and draft Berry? Or would you rather hold onto Landry and draft Okung? Dirtbag59 04-15-2010, 02:51 PM I have no idea what we'd be giving up. Then try to Atowge from St. Louis. johno 04-15-2010, 02:55 PM Hypothetical. If Berry slips to us at 4, would you trade Landry for Brown and draft Berry? Or would you rather hold onto Landry and draft Okung? this is when i thank god that i dont have to make decisions like this. i would say i would take landry/okung and hope that #30 will perform better under our new coaching staff/scheme/etc. Ruhskins 04-15-2010, 02:58 PM Thats a tough one, but I'll take Okung. Actually I would take a trade for Brown and draft Okung. Then try to Atowge from St. Louis. Isn't today the deadline for RFAs to sign the tender offer? If not today, isn't this coming up soon? BigHairedAristocrat 04-15-2010, 03:00 PM And Jammal Brown is still very much in play as well. i was more hoping we'd be after bushrod. so are brown and colon (i want to make a joke here) an either/or situation or could we trade for both of them and use our first pick on something other than a offensive tackle? BigHairedAristocrat 04-15-2010, 03:05 PM I have no idea what we'd be giving up. We inquired about both Marcus McNeill and Jermon Bushrod but both seem to have fallen by the wayside. Or would you rather hold onto Landry and draft Okung? Berrys not worth being taken at 4. i just dont get the love for him. personnaly, i'd trade Landry for Brown, Rogers for Colon and a pick, trade down from 4 with SF and draft Spililer and Iupati. i'd view him as a left guard and future LT project and try to trade dockery for a late round pick. Brown/Iupati/Rabach/Hicks/Colon Actually, if i had more time to think about it, i'd probably come up with something different and much crazier. |
