Not a bad trade, our 4th is 1800 pts, their 25th is 720, give Gaither a 15-16th value of 1000-1050 would equal out.
We could then get someone like Ryan Matthews-RB, Pouncey-C/G, or B.Campbell for RT, to go with Gaither-LT, and then select McCoy in the 2nd round.
I would be ok with that.

Baltimore probably doesn't want that contract.

It's ridiculous. Baltimore earliest draft pick on their roster is 10th overall from 7 years ago. The fact that they continually compete is amazing. However looking back I don't know why they took Boller in the first round. The guy had something like a career 50% completion percentage while playing for Tedford. Other then that though Baltimore is pretty much "money" when it comes to making picks. A bunch of their picks in redrafts would easily be top 10, even top 5 picks (Reed, Lewis, Ngota, Suggs, Oher, Flacco, Grubbs)

I personally think Newsome and company are far and away the best front office in the game. Most front offices that are considered elite do well on a QB and ride that wave of success, while the Ravens have done what they have been doing for years without a franchise QB. Now that they have Flacco the skies the limit.

Baltimore is one of the gold standards when it comes to building teams through the draft. Ozzie Newsome was a Hall of Fame player but his playing career is nothing compared to his proficiency in the draft.

What's crazy is that the Ravens traded a 2003 2nd and a 2004 1st for the chance to draft Boller.

What's even crazier is that he's not even the guy they wanted. That was the year they were trying to draft Leftwich and were working on a trade with the Vikings to move from #10 to #7. But I guess amidst all the confusion, Tice and the Vikings missed their allotted time to make their selection and the Jaguars jumped in and took Leftwich

I would have to agree that Campbell (at 27yrs old with 5 years NFL experience) will net us a 3rd rounder. Soeone will think they can coach him up.

How about our #4 pick for baltimore's 1st and Gaither?

I probably co-sign that trade. but it would have to be done on draft day, because we might be able to squeeze more out of them.

Or how bout using the 2nd for the Rams LT -Barron- that they drafted in the first last yr? they have a 2nd round tender on him. Could pair him with Okung and be set for the next decade.jmho

Barron is trash.. I wouldn't even give a 3rd for him.. he was drafted in 2005

most penalized lineman last year
