Sam Bradford's pro day workout should clear up top of NFL draft

I think the thing with Spags is he knows he needs to win now to save his job. Tough to do with a rookie QB in there.With the Rams it'd be tough to win with Peyton in there. LOL

That's what i don't get...Spags and Devaney will basically be sacraficing themselves by picking Bradford. That roster is not going to win with a rookie QB. They will look more like last years Lions then last years Jets. And with a new owner coming in who will be itching to put his own people in place I can't see how those two survive to reep the rewards of the Bradford pick.

Don't count your chickens..... I hear he was injured also... it was either in high school or his first year in college. Can't take him either.

My point being plenty of players come out of the draft having been injured sometime in their past. If Bradford was done and could play anymore he wouldn't be still facing the draft. Doctors would have told him he can't play anymore. Hell his shoulder doctor works for the Skins so I'm sure the Skins would know if he's worth drafting or not. Maybe they know and are throwing up front to get Clausen so the Rams don't? I don't know. I know just a few things.... one being we need a more accurate QB. OL, LB, FS, RB, and one more WR to fill ARE's spot.

Spags isn't sold knowing how bad they need a QB??? Re-enforces my points on Bradford. Hopefully Spags does get overruled and the Rams overpay for a player who will not meet up to the hype/expectations. We need to draft Clausen at #4 and be done with it.

Well to reiterate.... I've heard the team doesn't want the high cost of a #1 pick, but keep in mind almost every team that gets to this spot is trying to move out of it saying the same thing or trying to get more picks cause they have more then one need.

I've also heard Spags job is on the line this year and he's not sold about having a Rookie QB taking over the team. Shanahan yes cause he's signed a 5yr deal, Andy Reid cause he is Philli and they won't part with him, but I heard the Rams were not happy with Spags season last year and are giving him this year to fix their problems or he's gone. Would any of you chance your career on a drafted QB who might have issues in the NFL cause he has not been tested? or throwing your whole season away and career on one good hit by a DE if Bradford gets reinjured?

I think Bradford will be healthy and ready to go. I think he'll do fine. But I'm not the one in the hot seat putting my eggs in one basket hoping it all works out at a high expense. All he really needs is a proven QB who is safe with the ball and an OL to protect them. Then throw in a few DL and he's doing great. If he can do all that plus pick up an extra pick or two and have a half decent year, then I'm sure he stays and could be developing a young QB while doing so.

I'm not sure the notion a defensive minded guy like Spags is rumored to be fond of the safe, solid choice in McCoy necessarily reinforces your point.Defensive minded HCs often go with better talent on O, thinking they can "coach up" any limitations in defensive personnel.

EDIT: Actually it does reinforce my stance on Bradford, I've said all along that I anticipate he'll be a solid QB, but will take some time to get up to speed. I don't think he's worth the #4 overall, much less the #1 overall pick. I've said if Clausen was gone and the choice for us was Bradford or Okung, I go with Okung (safe, solid choice).

Of course, the rumor on Spags has no relation to my stance on Clausen.

Why do I get the feeling that Bradford will hold out just about anywhere he signs. It'd be interesting to see how our FO would deal with him given that they have been very careful with contracts, although if they are interested in him so much maybe they'll break the bank.

I hope that if we were to draft Bradford, the FO would find a good deal for Campbell and get us more o-line help. I just hate the thought of a first-round QB playing behind our pathetic line.

Yeah, I feel for this kid. So young and so much potential, but the Rams will just not do well with him. As far as Spag not taking him because of his job being on the line. Don't kid yourselves guys they need a QB more than anything and unless we trade Campbell for him (Don't do it!) they'll be taking Sam Bradford on April 22nd.
Let's just take Jimmy Clausen and become the next big threat in the playoff race next year or the year after. I'm so excited to see the things in here post Jimmy Clausens work out day. Remember when everyone was comparing Clausen and Bradford back in January saying Clausen was the better QB at the next level? Where has that gone, the kid hasn't thrown since and nothing has changed except Bradford shoulder being "healed"?
Mike and Bruce have nothing to worry about and I really don't think we do either. As our roster stands we are way beyond a 4-12 team and let's just hope that can get things rolling.
