Am I the only one who hates this trade as far as the Skins are concerned? We all knew that McNabb would hang it up sooner or later, but this gives them an impact player at safety AND another potentially great player.

I am with you here, totally agree. Eagles really dont lose here they would get a good pick and a strong saftey. It also seems to throw a wrench in our draft.

Well not only do the Eagles get a safety but by trading McNabb for a draft pick they get a whole new draft pick.

What safety are we talking about?

Yeah, when I was a sophomore in high school we were given the option to go up to Varsity after our JV season was over, mainly to be dummies for the scout team. At the time I went up Charlie was the QB. I remember being in awe at how fast he was able to throw a football. Of course at the time I figured that all decent QB's being recruited had arm strength like that but as it turned out he was definitely above average in that category. The next year he went to Clemson and surprised everyone, especially given that he was a 3 star prospect going into college.

Right now from what I hear he's being coveted for his physical tools (height, arm strength, etc).

Thats cool. My brother played with Tye Warren and when he comes down they still talk. He is maybe the biggest guy I've every seen, but cool as shit.

I think the only thing McNabb's trade tells us about draft day is Jason will have literally no trade value. I mean literally...JC probably couldn't garner a 4th rd pick.

Why does it throw a wrench in our draft? We now have the option of Bradford/Clausen, or the best OT available. Detroit seems to be targeting Suh or the next best DT, while the Rams may or may not pick a QB now if there indeed is a trade. Whatever plan Mr. Allen and Coach have for opening day of the draft, it is not that all affected by this trade. The only thing it might mean is that we don't get Okung if OT is going to be our first pick. If he is gone, we can get the kid from USC or even Bruce Campbell. I am sure the FO has a gameplan based on the different scenarios. Bottom line is we don't lose either way.

JC will garner us a 3rd rounder at best, but the point is probably moot. You don't want to put the rook QB behind an untested line and get killed, you will want JC to get killed!!!! Just kidding, but JC is the starter til the kid gets worked up, like Gibbs did with Brunell, then JC got put in at the end of Brunell's last season.
