Last time I checked you can't trade UFA's...the very point I tried to make. Next sentence...We traded Champ Bailey and.......I'm out.

The point was that Champ Bailey was not a UFA at the time of the trade. Bailey wanted out of DC, and we would not have kept him after he eventually hit the UFA market. So we did the deal.

I'm just hoping the Eagles somehow end up shipping McNabb to Minnesota. Then they would either cut Sage or trade him to us on the cheap.

he started his career here, would be cool if he ended it here.

I'm not sure that I understand the Sage Rosenfels love. He seems to me like the definition of a journeyman backup.

Pretty much what he is. Decent backup, nothing to get too excited over. Sorta like Rexy, though Sage lacks the $exy factor.

Anyone with the name "Sage" has no business being in the NFL.

That name scares nobody.

Ditto for "Lilly", "Petunia" or "Lovie."

*ends rant*

Perhaps he can earn a starting job, win some games & refer to himself as the "Sage King" & quote Confucious in post game interviews so that people don't think he's named after an herb.

because until we have our "very own" peyton or brees wrapped up for us. someone that is the undisputed qb king, we will always salivate over prospects proven or otherwise

i don't understand all the sage hate. he knows the system and has played very well in it. although i'm sure smoot would vehmently disagree - i think a low round draft pick would be better spent on him than someone like jevan snead.
