JC will garner us a 3rd rounder at best, but the point is probably moot. You don't want to put the rook QB behind an untested line and get killed, you will want JC to get killed!!!! Just kidding, but JC is the starter til the kid gets worked up, like Gibbs did with Brunell, then JC got put in at the end of Brunell's last season.
....and look how well that turned out.

Does no one see the USA Today article that says this is a lie?

Why would Philly trade one of the top QB's in the NFL with a proven track record for a high 2nd round pick? It just doesn't make sense.
Why not? They've proven with McNabb they can get close a lot, but haven't won it all. It's not really a knock on him but he's 34 (I think), they have a solid backup in Kolb, they might as well build for their future while they can.

Rule #1 of off-season talk: Be skeptical of all quotes from NFL execs and coaches (and even players)

So you think this still has legs?

I don't think there's any offer on the table, but there's definitely interest. I think the 49ers will get back in the fray soon though.

Turned out a lot better than when Spurrier threw Patrick Ramsey to the dogs now didn't it? JC isn't a bad QB, maybe not the guy to get us to the SB, but he is more than serviceable.

I think we've seen that qb's can play well into their late 30's. 34 is not too old for a QB. Meanwhile Kolb is unknow. Why trade a top QB in his prime for an unknown. Not smart IMO.

i know he kicked ass everytime he had an oppotunity, from all accounts he seems to be a legit nfl qb
