garbage, i hate him, you are getting paid millions...show up to workout and set a fucking EXAMPLE!

He did show up and he is working out. There are a lot of Redskins who were paid millions upon millions and never made the plays that Phat Albert makes game in and game out.

Ok Tooter. You be the GM. So after we cut the best tackle in the league, how will we replace him? (I don't need to remind you that our D-line went from weakness to strength the second he got here and that our O-line is a joke)

I know.... you would go out there and get in his face and tell him how it is.

Honestly, setting examples, being part of the team, etc...all that is fine...but it's March. I'll worry about this if it happens during the regular season. That's when it will matter

Shortly after Shanahan was hired, the Redskins training staff was let go. Maybe Albert was disappointed with his 2009 season and hired this trainer so he could get started with someone he's worked with successfully before while the Redskins figured out their strength and conditioning coaches. Maybe he has every intention of making 2010 his best year. And maybe we're all misjudging him to be out of shape because every time the ball is snapped he's fighting two huge D-lineman at one time.

Or maybe he just doesn't really care all that much, and he's making his "plans" known while giving a tad of face time at Redskin's Park, all the while knowing that for the next three seasons, as long as he doesn't suck, he'll be playing for our team and collecting a king's ransom while doing so (he's paid for those years guaranteed). Maybe he's just smirking at the idea of needing to work his tail off in the offseason since he's already crazily paid. He seemed really out of shape at times last year, constantly flopping to the ground in seemingly agonizing pain and sucking major wind, only to return a series later looking just fine.

Whether it's one scenario or the other, or a combination of the two, he'll probably never unanimously live up to the expectations of a contract his size. Especially given our nuts fan base and his prior reputation.

See part of me wants to believe that part of the reason he's winded so often and that he really is giving a 1,000%. However during the season I heard from a few people on the internet (yeah I know) that they had seen Haynesworth with a friend at a local bar on Saturday night before the Carolina game downing beer after beer. Maybe it was just a rumor, but part of me doesn't doubt that Haynesworth would do something like that. It wouldn't be the first time I've heard that Al likes to party hard.

Actually for what it's worth Haynesworth wasn't the only one that I heard about in the last year that had been partying the night before a game on our team.

I don't get this... I know why a normal Tackle in the 4-3 wouldn't like to change to a 3-4 NT because it's going to hurt his stats and might cost him his big cheque and new contract..... But first Albert already got his big cheque so what he's scared of, man this dude is a crying old baby and last time I checked NT are making lots of money now with the NFL turning into a 3-4 league.... I just don't get why he's making such a big deal of this worst case scenario things don't work he still gets 40 mill and moves to a team that plays the 4-3 where he's good and gets another 30 mill

There is no real evidence that this has anything to do with him being unhappy about the switch to a 3-4. I really hate when people treat rumours as gospel.

If AH has a problem with playing in a 3-4 defense and if Shanahan thinks that AH's attitude will adversely affect the team, then the Skins could explore the possibility of trading him to either St. Louis or Detroit for either the #1 or the #2 overall pick. Both the Rams and the Lions play a 4-3 defense and both of them need a dominant DL. Also, Jim Schwartz, the Lion's HC, was AH's DC in Tenn. By the way, I'm not trying to set the trade value of AH. I'm just saying that those high draft picks would be included.

If the Skins really want Sam Bradford, they could offer Detroit AH for a swap of 1st round picks this year and a first round pick next year. That way, Detroit would be able to add AH and also have the #4 pick in the draft and the Skins would be sure to get Bradford and they would also have two first round picks next year.

Now, don't misunderstand my point. I'm not saying that I think AH is a problem or will become one. In fact, once he's on the field, I think that he will always play hard and try to dominate. But if Shanahan thinks he has a problem on his hands with AH and if he desperately wants Sam Bradford or if he wants two picks in the top four to build with, then I think now is the time for him to explore a trade of AH.
