NYCskinfan82 03-19-2010, 05:32 PM What are you saying? It was ment as a joke, you made a comment & based on that comment i figured you had to be Colt -- ala 9 posts meaning you just joined your Colt. Defensewins 03-19-2010, 05:47 PM "I like what Coach Shanahan has brought to the organization. It's like nothing I've seen," Wake up time.... Jason Campbell is just kissing the new coaches butt in reaction to Rex Grossman coming in. Just look at that statement, and consider the timing! I hate to put a damper on the enthusiasm, but look who it's coming from (man who's job is on the line) and see it from the viewpoint of being his boss... That being said, I'm sure things are going to be run much more efficiently than with Zorn. Nobody has to worry about Rex Grossman. Rex is the veteran being brought in to help teach the others the system. Rex is not going to be the starter. Dirtbag59 03-19-2010, 05:49 PM The thing I want to know is how long will this last. It's all well and good now, even necessary, however what about 3 or 4 years from now when the honeymoon period wears down? Was Shanahan able to get this kind of compliance to his offseason workout program like this throughout his time in Denver? Winning gets you compliance, he wins and they will show up with bells on. artmonkforhallofamein07 03-19-2010, 06:36 PM ^^ Agreed ^^ As far as JC goes, I think it is time to have a couple of QBs push for his job. This new catch phrase around the park, "competition", will make this whole team better including the QB who ever the starter is. If JC wins the job in training camp then he competed and won the spot. Where in the past there was never a competition for JC. He was the incumbent starter and no one was going to push him out the door. I feel the same way about the RB position and CP. No one has ever been in a position to compete for his job. Now we have a coach and a FO with no ties to the current players. They want to get the best football players on the field and the only way to do that is to compete for the gig. Bringing in these guys to run this team could be the best thing for this franchise in a very long time. Longtimefan 03-19-2010, 06:53 PM Professional, was one word Jason used to describe the new and improved atmosphere around Redskin Park, I'll take some of that all the time. Good to see the guys committed to working hard and dedicating themselves to getting better because they want to be good. Lotus 03-19-2010, 07:07 PM Not only will Bartel start for us at QB next year, he'll go to the Pro Bowl. mlmdub130 03-19-2010, 10:53 PM Professional, was one word Jason used to describe the new and improved atmosphere around Redskin Park, I'll take some of that all the time. The swinging door proved it, Campbell's comments confirmed it. As bad as the O-line was last year, they would have been at worst 8-8 with Shanahan last year. Thank goodness he is long gone. |
