#Redskins confirm that Andre Carter still plays for them, and his Wiki page is corrected. Just what we need, to be chasing Wiki rumors.

Here is what makes me laugh on here at times folks are like the Browns suck, the Raiders suck, the Chief suck, etc... Guess what we suck too! Other NFL cities fans look at us as sucking.

It reminds me of my grandmother when I go to visit her in the old folks home she always whispers to me "bunch old people in here". Makes me want to scream you are old too!

yeah its a hard pill to swallow realizing we are what we are. a bottom 5 or 10 team the past 5 years/decade or so.

i bust on carter for being a one trick pony, but dang, he had a nice season last year, made some plays on his own, switched back and forth from the left to right side when rak came in at DE.

i dont know if i would trade him for a 3rd. i guess we have to though. good player, seems like a great personality in the locker room, takes being in shape and ready to play very seriously, his wife is a super educated sports fitness lady.

it would suck losing a guy of that character.

I would def trade him for a 3rd.. nothing against him, you just wonder how much longer he can perform and how so in this scheme..

pacman supposed to workout for a handful of teams

Have you not noticed in the last ten years other then two playoff years we have sucked big time, I am not saying just those miss picks have made us suck but sure didn't help us get better.Nothing like a nice dose of hyperbole.

Just looking at winning percentage since 2000, ours is 43.7%. A quick glance at Cleveland at 31% shows a big difference. Cleveland sucks. We're mediocre, sub-par, below average, but we don't "suck".

Teams that "suck" don't make the playoffs twice in the last five years. We had a horrible season last year (it sucked), but IMO that was the best thing long term for the franchise. It spurred a much needed house cleaning and hopefully we're moving forward in the right direction.

Agreed, we've been painfully mediocre. There are several teams that have been much worse off.

just looking at the teams that were in the afc and nfc championship teams over the past few years, it looks like most of those teams DIDN'T have a first round QB that the team drafted. atleast half got to that point with veteran QBs. this further makes me think that whomever we draft in the 1st round, should not be someone we take a gamble on. there are lots of ways to build successful franchises. you dont need to draft a top5 QB to be successful anymore than you need to draft a top5 left tackle or pass rusher. its all about making smart decisions in free agency, keeping your draft picks, and making wise use of the picks you have.

I think it's all about fulfilling your needs. I think sometimes it's easy to get caught up in, "WOW that guys fantastic!" Yes he might be an upgrade at his position, but does that position need to be upgraded as much as another? Is it a large upgrade that would make a difference in wins and losses? And do you ignore your greatest needs by taking this guy? Sometimes you're stuck and have to take BPA, but if at all possible, trade down and address your needs. When you have the same needs year after year, somethings wrong with the way you're drafting.

Well said. Considering the depth of this draft and the number of needs this team has, i think our best option is to trade down and pick up as many picks in rounds 1 and 2 as possible. With multiple picks, we shouldn't have to reach to fill any of our actual needs.

if we can't trade down, we need to make sure that whomever we select at 4 meets a need AND is close to being the BPA.
