Am I the only person who really doesn't like Dave Matthew's Band? Not to bash anyone, but I feel like all their songs sound the same to me.
Everyone in college loved DMB. I can't stand that nasal thing he does.

Recognize her? :D
I'm a whore for this band. Definitely are hardcore, but also have melodies too...
Not the band I remember. I think I saw them at either Alley Cats or Jaxx. You can't forget her . . no actually it was Toad's Place before they changed ownership. Yup. I think they opened up for Glen Danzig and Skeleton Witch. I'm not sure. Ive been to a lot of metal shows.

I can walk to Merriweather Post Pavilion from my place but they rarely have shows I'd be interested in. So that sucks.

Their jazz fusion thing is pretty unique, and a good percentage of his songs are very soulful. The more commercial stuff you'll hear on the radio aren't really the songs I'm into.
They're my favorite band by far. They were a trendy college band for a while, but they're bigger than that now.

I'm the same. Plus when he gets into that tone where he barely enunciates his words it's kinda ehhh, not a big fan of his voice either. I remember one time watching the Central Park DVD I enjoyed the sound, but I was pretty drunk at that point too. The lyrics just don't come together for me, some of the songs are just way too vague, others aren't that way though.
There are some songs that I enjoy, I just can't get into the whole thing. If anyone has suggestions for me to listen to feel free, maybe I just haven't heard enough of it.
A lot of people look at me funny when I say stuff like this because I'm a big O.A.R. fan, but I just feel more energy in their music, a lot of storylines, etc.
You ever see Alice In Chains with Layne? Pretty badass...saw it in 91
Unfortunately no

Not really a summer concert but i'm taking the wife to see Daughtry and Cavo at Penn State on March 31. Should be interesting. She like Daughtry and I like Cavo.

I think they're an aquired taste for some. I wasn't a big fan of them at all until I saw them live for the first time back in '97. After that I was hooked. You just can't beat them live.

I can see that. Last year I took a friend to the Charlotte O.A.R. show and another to the Auburn Hills, MI one. Both made fun of me for listening to them until those shows. I'm sure that I'd enjoy DMB live, whether I could enjoy their catalogue on my own afterwards who knows.
You are not alone . Not really my type of music , and he dumped some .. err DOOO into a river from the tour bus , dirty rats :)
Techically he didn't, it was the bus driver.
Regardless, the band's philanthropic efforts are pretty extensive and more than make up for that one unfortunate incident.
