More stuff!

1. The do-over rule adopted last season for balls that strike the mammoth video board hovering over the floor of Cowboys Stadium, known here and elsewhere as "Jumbotronicus," will be proposed as a permanent fix for the potential problem, which never occurred in eight regular-season games or in the postseason contest played there.

2. Dead ball fouls occurring at the end of the first half and the fourth quarter would carry over to the third quarter and overtime, respectively.

3. Instant replay would be used to review game-clock questions on the last play of the second and fourth quarters (and presumably overtime). This rule was adopted by the NFL for the 2009 postseason.

4. The player numbering rules would be modified to acknowledge the fact that many linebackers with numbers in the 50s play defensive end in a 3-4 scheme.

5. In the final minute of the game (and presumably the half), a 10-second runoff would apply when a play is reversed via replay in a way that makes the final outcome a situation in which the clock would have continued to run.

6. The Colts and the Cowboys would be required to declare the window and curtain configurations at their stadiums 90 minutes before kickoff, the same rule that applied to whether a retractable roof will be open or closed.

Sounds like Martha Stewart was involved with the rules committee.

Helmet rule is stupid but will likely pass since they're suddenly so concerned with craniums. I love when a RB is fighting for yards even if the helmet comes off...they're usually great plays and I've never seen an injury on a play like that. They KNOW it's a violent sport when they signed up at age 10.

OT rule would be OK if extra points attemped as you said...could miss or be blocked.Remember Jason Witten on Monday night a couple years back running for 25+ yards without his helmet? That would have been blown dead by this BS rule.

The league is going overboard with regard to head injuries but honestly it's something that's long overdue.

I think it would be difficult to spot the ball if the dude's helmet falls off just before he is down.

No problem with the helmet rule.

Leave OT alone. As I've said before, if you didn't play well enough to win in regulation, you don't have a damn thing to whine about.

Killing plays when ball carrier loses helmet? Are you kidding me? That sounds retarded. If a player wants to get extra yardage let him.

Oh no, wait, you really didn't score a touchdown because your helmet was off.
