Buster really?

OK first the Cleveland stupid comparison and justification

#5: Cleveland → New York Jets (D). Cleveland traded its first-round selection (5th overall, used to select Mark Sanchez (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Sanchez)) to the Jets for the Jets' first- and second-round selections (17th overall, traded to Tampa Bay (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_NFL_Draft#TampaTradeUp), who selected Josh Freeman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josh_Freeman); and 52nd overall, used to select David Veikune (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Veikune)), Kenyon Coleman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenyon_Coleman), Brett Ratliff (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brett_Ratliff), and Abram Elam (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abram_Elam).

Cleveland didn't get the jets first and next years first even they got their first and 3 avrg players you can say Elam an actual starter but no wow player...

The Jets didn't sold the house to move to #5 and moved to get what mmmhhh a QB not a safety.... cleveland needed players bunch not 1 and that's wh ythey took the most players they could get... and the other 2 trades they made to move down 2 spots they got 6 round picks in both cases.... Not chart value for soem that use them.

Now the Scandrick trade? really you're comparing 2 first to a 5th round trade with an actually good player who's the 3rd CB wow.

Now Roy williams was a stupid trade by Jerry but involved a player a high priced player Jerry got robbed yeah like Dallas robbed Cleveland 3 years ago when they traed their first for cleveland's second and next year first so Cleveland could get Brady Quinn.

But in no way a team trades to high first for a safety no matter how you put it.

:argue: Give it a rest already. The pick's been made. Ditka traded all NO's picks to draft Ricky Williams. A lot stranger things have happened.

can we call a truce perhaps?

sure. all it will take is a trade:

vikings 1st round pick for the Lions 2nd and 3rd rounders. :)

Next year, either:

A. No trades at all.

or

B. No Dallas fans allowed in.

Dude first I'm not the only one saying this, actual redskins fans are sayign the same things, read the names of the post... and I'm not complainning or anthing you take it personal like an atack I could actually care less of a mock draft. I just told u it lost the prupose of what you guus intended with trying to make it realistic... not a mock draft of the best redskins scenario.

so you recognize that safeties generally get paid less than pretty much every other position.... because its a far less valuable position to a team. that said, regardless of a players position, a player drafted in the first round generallys makes close to than the player drafted at the same position the year before.

i don't mean to be overly hard on you - its just the only trade we've had so far and it involves the redskins and doesnt make much sense from the perspective of the 49ers. kinda broke the realism of what we were going for, atleast for me. Now, if Al Davis were owner of the 49ers, it would be another matter entirely. i'd be applauding your skills at impersonating the madman.

On that note, GTripp made far too sensible of a pick to accurately portray what the Raiders would do. If I had been Oakland, I would have drafted Tebow with that pick, LOL.No, don't worry. I specifically took a player who needs strong organizational structure to reach his max potential, and placed him in an organization that is a complete circus. No realism dropoff.

Anyway, I'm on your side in terms of the San Francisco-Washington trade being preposterously unrealistic. A quick Google search would show that SF local media sources have watch an offensive line perform every bit as poorly as ours has, and so the only reason to go up that high would be to land Okung, who was there, but passed on. Furthermore, Eric Berry isn't really a top five pick with the lone exception of if the Redskins surprise and take him. He could go 6-10, but I wouldn't be shocked if he's around when SF makes their first pick at 13 (and then he'll probably get further than that). Either way, the 49ers aren't going to trade up.

Still, we allowed trades in this dealy, and it's supposed to be for fun. Having two picks for the Redskins is more fun than one pick, and the mock is still valuable if you use it as a tool to see how the market is valuing certain positions against others (all OTs in the top 50 on anyones big board are gone pick pick 20, both QBs go in top 10), but not so much to worry about specific players.

LOL, i didnt even think about it in that much detail. I just saw that you picked an offensive lineman and not an offensive skill-position player. But you are right, Davis hasn't done a very good job of making guys who question his character/work ethic change their minds, has he? He's actually a player i wouldnt mind having here if we had some more high character veteran guys on our line. Unfortunately, we just lost Samuels, Thomas and Bugel... we can't afford to bring in any potential turds here just yet.
