No question. I think draft day, or better said draft days, is when we're going to see a lot of trades go down.

Also I've noticed a few people staying with their teams after testing the market (i.e. Ryan Clark).

Speaking of safeties, I get the sense that this position may not be a priority to the team. Anyone with any insight on this? Just curious. I wouldn't mind seeing Sharper here, if memory serves me right we have a group of young safeties (well Doughty has been in the league for 5 years, so he's not that young), and he would bring some leadership to the group.

I didn't think so three weeks ago, but I wouldn't be totally surprised to see the Redskins trade Campbell, draft Clausen (not Bradford), and end up with a veteran QB starting the season.

It's probably because they believe Landry still has something to give even though he had a bad year. I can understand that. Besides, Slowik should help him out plenty. Coaches aren't in "panic and must replace" mode that we "helpless" consumers throw ourselves into sometimes.

Do these rumors have to be grounded in reality? I mean, I heard the other day that the Skins will try to acquire 5 first round draft picks by trading future draft picks.

Thats a good one. The skins do not even have 5 players on their roster worth a 1st round pick! Orakpo is the only player they have that could without question bring back a 1st round pick. Haynesworth is a good enough player but the contract would scare most teams away.

I could live with that.

What do you mean try? I heard it was pretty much a done deal.

I think the window on trading Campbell is starting to close...unless something happens on draft weekend.

Yes. I think people should just get used to the idea that JC WILL be our starting QB this year, and maybe we will have a nice young talent behind him, maybe a project QB behind him, but the fact remains, and most likely will remain, JC is our guy for the next season.

Ugh.:vomit:

Starting to close? I thought that with the tender they gave him, they shut the god damn window before it was even thinking about being opened.
