Would you trade the 2nd for Gaither and draft Clausen with the first pick?

If someone kidnaps Ozzy Newsome and offers us that deal then I would take it in a heartbeat.

Trade rumors began swirling on March 7, 2010. The Ravens reportedly might look to trade Gaither in exchange for a first or second round draft choice and then move 2009 first round draft choice Michael Oher to the blindside. The Redskins reportedly offered their second round draft choice in exchange for the 23 year old tackle. [5]

Also if this ends up happening then I wonder if this represents a shift in philosophy for Shanahan. Artis Hicks and Jared Gaither aren't exactly "Shanahan types" at least when it comes to their build.

the only place i've seen that trade rumor is wikipedia. and while wikipedia is a great place to read unbiased information on political candidates or learn how to self diagnose and teat a serious illness, i don't know if we can trust what it says about football rumors, especially when they involve the redskins.

I'm just tossing out scenarios, I haven't heard any specific mention of Gaither coming here

I'd trade the 2nd for Gaither more because it's great value as opposed to it filling a need (which, obviously, it also does).

Having Gaither would make Bradford more appealing if he makes it to No. 4 though. It would almost make drafting him a good idea. Almost.

I agree. I would make the trade and be more comfortable taking Bradford in the first.....or go o-line again if he's gone. Just knowing we have a young quality starting LT would open up our options.
