Hope you had a chance to peruse today's stories on the Redskins' ever-changing situation (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/03/03/AR2010030303767.html) and the league-wide uncertainty (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/03/03/AR2010030303138.html) that surrounds free agency which begins at midnight. Without a salary cap in 2010, free agency is a little unpredictable. Some front office members say teams might be willing to shell out a lot more money than usual with no cap in place. Many others, though, think owners might go a more conservative route, worried about paying for long-term contracts when there might not even be football in 2011.

Interesting article. I agree that teams will operate the same to a large extent. The spenders will spend, those who usually don't won't. I definitely expect for us to spend and I don't have a big problem with it. We'll also make cuts.

Very interesting article from NFP on the 30% rule and how it is affecting the market.

[new thread/no new thread facts: I looked in the Salary Cap room and saw Matty had links to a similar and very interesting article, so I thought people might want to reread those also.]
