Darryl Green that is. Trent Green wasn't bad, but I am still partial to Gus.

I thought they picked up Sanchez in 09? I don't doubt the 2 first rounders but that means they had like 3 first round picks. I don't remember them having that. The Jets had 2 first rounders in 2006. They spent the 4th pick on Ferguson and the 29th pick on Mangold. Cutler was drafted 11th that year, but he played for Vanderbilt, which obviously isn't known for its football program, even though he did have a nice individual accolades of being SEC Offensive Player of the Year and being a part of the all-SEC team. Pocket$ $traight 03-05-2010, 12:11 AM You know what you guys just don't know the importance of the skill positons. Next your going to tell me you don't want T.O. :) I may take some heat but I would not be upset if we did exactly what Buffalo did with T.O. last year. Rent him for one year. He still has some gas left in the tank and he would show Thomas how a pro wide receiver trains. SBXVII 03-05-2010, 12:12 AM Yes, but they build their lines in their previous two years and only picked up the rookie QB after they had a solid line, and that seemed to work well. So quiet down. So your banking on the fact that we can pick up OL, OL, OL. Make sure we suck enough in order to place high enough in the 2011 draft in order to pick up a Franchise QB like the Jets did. OK. I got it. I on the other hand have a bit more faith in Shanahan and doubt we end up anywhere close to the 4-12 season and no where near the top 5 in next years draft. Which means we will have a mediocre QB whether we keep JC or not, Colt, and some aged Vet you guys are wanting. Yeah good idea. Basically here's the problem, there are a lot more talented OL on the board vs. QB's. There are a lot more OL that could easily be starting almost half way through the draft list of OL. But only about 3 QB's would be worth starting either this year or next. Most would have to be heavily coached up with the intention of being utilized in about 3-4 years. JC will be gone next year. I think he's tired of the BS, plus the owner is tired of the mediocre performance. So we can draft a top notch QB this year, pick up a bunch of OL, and throw the QB on the field next year after he's had a year of learning or we can forgo the position to pick up OL this year when they have the deepest OL draft and pick up a mediocre QB next year since we will be farther down the board and throw him to the fire under an awsome OL. My opinion I'd rather have the QB learning for a year and ready to step in next year when JC leaves, thats if he doesn't get picked up by someone this year. After all, didn't Lee Evans or whoever it was gave up #81 to him when he went to Buffalo? Ruhskins 03-05-2010, 12:13 AM So your banking on the fact that we can pick up OL, OL, OL. I'm not even bothering reading your stuff anymore, so save it. SBXVII 03-05-2010, 12:14 AM Green probably could still get the job done. I bet he could school Rogers. Why would you want Shuler? That bastard sucked ass and brought the franchise down. People booed his ass and cheered for Gus. A first round QB sucked and the 7th rounder makes the Pro Bowl, who would have dreamed that up? I can't believe you took me serious.
