We need to get younger at the line. We can't depend on JUST old guys like Pashos. See people like you piss me off who think we can easily just patch the line and not use our draft resources on offensive lineman.
You guys piss me off with the "we have to solve the whole offensive OL problems in this years draft or were screwed" mentality. News flash.... it won't be solved in one years draft.
and...with some fans ideas of getting rid of JC, whome do you expect to be throwing the ball? Colt? Please don't say Pennington. You want to talk about getting rid of old guys and your wanting to bring in old Chad.
I'll give you this Pashos is listed as a Guard on NFL.com but for some reason I thought he was a LT with San Fran. Either way your still wrong about his age... he's only played 5 yrs in the league so obviously we can't go out and pick up Peppers, Rolle, or Dansby since their old also.

That is cool. That means that deal can be done. I read the article about tendering JC and it made it seem that it would be hard for the Skins to get rid of him. To be honest the y need to keep JC for another season or two. I mean what vet is really going to come in and exceed what JC has done for us? The Cleveland trade BS about Anderson/Quinn would be a dwongrade over JC. Pennington also would be in my book. What decent FA Qbs other than the QBs just mentioned are still young or in their prime?
After Pennington, here are the other UFA QBs....
Culpepper
Rex Grossman
David Carr
Seneca Wallace
Chris Redman

Why the hell would we take 2 quarterbacks in the first two rounds when we had the worst line in the league?
It is a hypothetical Pocket. I rather would draft two QBs than trade for Anderson or Quinn. THose guys suck. The rationale from that would be similar to why we drafted Frerotte after we got Shuler, that being a young backup, and a possible replacement if the experiment goes awry. IF I was the GM the first two picks are O linemen no matter what. Just saying the choice of a second drafted QB is preferable to Anderson or Quinn in my opinion. Think about it now. Yeah I want Okung and Bruce Campbell if I was the GM, but say Shanny has his eye on Bradford and gets a additional second round pick. He could get a top LT and possibly get Lefevour or Max Hall, etc in the second round. If your stud falters you have another stud that might take over. Not that crazy of a scenario. Not likely to happen, but who knows.

Weeelllllll I bet if we drafted Okung and then the best RT available in the 2nd round we could be quite close to completely turning around the oline. It only leaves RG up in the air and we've got a couple guys who will compete for it and a few more FAs to look at.

We need at least one young talented lineman, and we could pick up the best tackle in the draft with that #4 or we could pick up a pretty talented lineman with the 2nd rounder. Our line was HORRIBLE last season, it sucked ass, it was old, it was injured.
Even if you bring Bradford, you can't throw him to the fire right away, so what do you do? You need another QB period. And if that's going to happen, I'd rather start rebuilding the line with the draft. And no, Okung won't fix the line, but it's a damn good way to start building it up.

How did Renaldo Wynn escape the ax? Maybe he'll be cut later?

In my perfect little world I had us taking Bradford 1st and us tendering JC to keep him as our supposed Vet we needed. I think it's funny how some people want to throw away JC for a 1st rounder and hey maybe we can talk some shmuck of a team to take Rogers for a 1st round also and we can pick up 3 OL in the first round and 1 OL in the 2nd round to make up our whole OL. :) with no one to throw the ball. LOL. Some guys kill me.

No sh!t. He's certainly big enough to anchor LDE in a 3-4...but he's about 10 yrs too old.

We can get some guy out of the UFL to play QB if a good deal comes along for Campbell. It's not like the team has been held back in the past by poor QB play. If THIS team actually gets to the point where we can say we missed the playoffs because of poor play at the QB position, I would consider that a win. I would LOVE to be a fan of the team that can solve all it's problems by adding a franchise QB.
