BRIEF COMMENTARY: uge changes in the Top 9 pick leaders. First, the change at No. 1 virtually shakes up the three following picks. Whether the Rams take DT Ndamukong Suh or QB Sam Bradford has ramifications for picks 2 though 4. That is precisely what happened, as for the very first time since we began munching 2010 mocks months ago, Suh for the first time no longer leads as the top overall pick.

Good we need to take Okung. The line is the major problem, not JC.

Okung seems like the smart pick at 4 if he's there.

I really hope we don't end up with Clausen. I've broken him down and give him draft grade of "gives me the willies." If the Rams take Bradford that should make life a lot easier for those making the decisions.

Statistically, there's not a whole lot that separates the two as prospects, Clausen might be a little "sounder", if that makes any sense, but in the context of the 4th overall pick, it's either got to be Bradford or not Bradford.

Essentially, the argument that Bradford is a top five pick is that: if he hadn't got injured, he would have had an even better statistical year than Clausen did this year, and cemented himself as the unquestioned No. 1 overall guy. The entire premise of "assuming greatness" is enough to make me queasy as an analyst, but it'd be entirely crazy to have expected some decline in Bradford's numbers this season, and still project him as a top five type.

Teams that pick in the top ten seemed to be more inclined towards delusional logic than teams that pick lower in the first round, so it's a certainty that someone is going to take a shot at Bradford before anyone would consider taking Clausen. I think they'll be surprised to find out he isn't quite as accurate as his college film would suggest, but such is life as a losing organization.

Just as an FYI for the rest of you football fanatics.... I went to Borders tonight and they already had one Draft magazine on the shelf... it was Lindy's Sports Pro Football Draft mag. Not sure how much weight you guys put into any one magazine, for me I like to read them all. Just thougth I'd pass along.
