$nyder may want both...

Both, now you're talking!

Who says you can't?

SS, I feel you are toying with my emotions, just like you did last year with the Jason Brown rumor. LOL. :laughing-

He's one of the best sources out there...but even the best are wrong sometimes.

Are you talking about the guy that covers the Texans with the very light but loud voice?

Well, if they put him on the right side and Orakpo on the left, both are playing their positions from last year.

But Peppers has played off the left side considerably in his career, and Orakpo played on the right side in college, and in third down situations last year, so they could really go either way there.

Thanks for the clarification...it looks like it could work several ways. My thinking was Orakpo was best rushing from the right side, and if Peppers came in expecting to play that position we don't get the most we could from Rak.

...personally I believe Brian is better overall. His motor doesn't quit and he's very passionate. Peppers is an enormous talent but passionate is not an apt descriptive...and who knows what his mentality will be after the enormous payday. I don't like it :(

By the way, in case you're wondering Haslett is the one reportedly pushing for Peppers.

Mua ha ha. Now O-Lines from around the league will understand the pain we felt watching our O-Line in 2009.

By the way, in case you're wondering Haslett is the one reportedly pushing for Peppers.Figured as much, given his coaching history, current position.

See, like I said. Even the best sources can be wrong sometimes :)

Brown was a 99.99999% lock to be here. Every reliable source said no question he will be a Redskin. It was all but signed, sealed, and delivered. And then suddenly he wasn't.

So let that be a lesson

Peppers-to-Redskins rumors go to full boil
Posted by Mike Florio on March 4, 2010 10:22 PM ET
Less than two hours until the start of free agency, rumors are flying that the Washington Redskins will soon be signing defensive end Julius Peppers.

The thinking had been that, if the Redskins decide they want Peppers, they'll get Peppers. It just wasn't clear whether the Redskins want Peppers.

Our pal Lance Zierlein of KGOW in Houston has reported, via Twitter, that the Redskins will come "charging hard" after Peppers and that he expects a deal to be done by tomorrow. Last year, Zierlein reported that the Redskins would land defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth days before it happened.

And we're hearing that the situation has progressed well beyond the Redskins "charging hard." We're hearing it's essentially done -- and that barring an unexpected development the only question is whether the deal will be announced before or after the sun rises in D.C.

That's bad news for the Bears, who had planned to make a strong push for Peppers

So will our o-line during practice. LOL.
