I agree. CS is a classy guy and a true redskin. He went out at the top of his game, and now he gets to be a coach...

I'm glad Samuels gets to go out at or near the peak of his game. Jansen didn't, Thomas won't, Moss didn't, Portis didn't, Griffin didn't, Marcus Washington didn't. Samuels is getting the opportunity to cement his legacy as one of the better Redskins of all time, without playing to the point where he is hurting the team.

You think Moss is done?

You think Moss is done?Compared to the difference between where Samuels is now compared to his peak, Moss was done in 2007. It was kind of cool that he got 1,000 yards last year (08), but I don't think he's got any chance to beat age after the last few years.

So he should have retired at 28?

He's clearly on the downside of his career but he's still got something left, especially in a better system under Shanahan.

Since 2007, he's been a negative effect on the offense (exception to a 5 game stretch in 2008). I do not believe that any amount of Shanahan magic is going to make Moss a valuable player like he was in 2004 and (particularly) 2005.

Most players are like Moss in that they keep playing until they just don't have the desire to play anymore. Maybe Samuels would have been like this if he had the option to play longer. But in his ten year career, he was still our best lineman when he went out, and that's pretty special.

why not just call it an internship? calling it a "minority internship" makes it seem like he's being offered the job to fill some sort of quota and not beause he's legitimately qualified for the job.

Very good point.

Two possibilities, one legit:

1) that is just the term used to fulfill tax and legal requirements for the spot.

2) he saved enough and became minority owner of the team and now is interning to take over DS's spot ;)

So does Moss throw the ball to himself ? Is Moss putting passes 3 and 4 feet too high or out of bounds ? Is Moss missing himself on deep passes ? No, it isn't. If the other guy deserves another shot then you just might want to give a guy who has to deal with him one too. I'm just saying. If you say that your guy can't be a good QB because of this or that then how is Moss treated differently when his numbers depend on the QB? Or is it also Moss' fault also that your QB is what he is ?

On a better note, it's good that Samuels will stay on with the team as a coaching intern.

On a better note, it's good that Samuels will stay on with the team as a coaching intern.Moss has a good QB. He's just not producing first downs and touchdowns. Randle El and Cooley and Betts have had no problem the last two years.

Moss is the problem.
