LOL............coming from the team that signed AH,that's pretty funny.

Previous regime. The decision to sign Haynesworth to such a contract has little to do with the new regime.

[QUOTE=Pocket$ $traight;670335]I agree. We have plenty of time and every year a big name or two gets let go during the offseason.

Btw...IMO...
- Dansby was overpaid.
- Rolle was paid a lot more than we were willing to spend on a safety
- Peppers was definitely overpaid

Giantone... you usually are a pretty good sport about your posts. You are coming off very aggressive. For a team who fell apart last year.

YES you guys overpaid for Rolle. Glad it was you and not us.

And yes AH was overpaid. Way to point out the obvious.

Thereis a new regime. these guys will build our teams of the future to beat you. They may not have done much the last few years, but all they needed was some new scenery. We will get it done.

The Redskins are reportedly closing in on an agreement with free agent OL Artis Hicks.
Hicks has been at Redskins headquarter for most of the day, and he's probably already taken his physical. With so many holes to fill upfront, Hicks' versatility will come in handy for the Redskins.

Now, who is Artis Hicks and will he improve our line?

He's a nine yr. vet. G with Philadelphia and Minn. He's 6' 4" 335 age 31. Started 14 games for Philly in 2005 and 14 for Minn. in 2006. Been in the league since 2002.

Hicks perhaps is a targeted reserve. If so, fine with me.

Justin Fargas is now a FA. He has low mileage and can catch out of the backfield.

Tony Pashos is a fringe starting RT, Hicks is a fringe NFL player.

Pashos is a good signing if we draft a LT early, and fail to address the line again until late in the draft, we'll be alright with him and Heyer on the right side.

In general, no idea what the line rebuilding plan is. We're not targeting guys with zone blocking experience, and we've brought in a lot of guys. I'm sure Shanahan has a plan, I just hope it's better than, "sign some guys, get lucky".

Hicks has spent his whole career playing for Reid/Childress, and their zone blocking schemes more closely resemble Zorn's than Shanahan's. Not that it's a huge difference.
