So now they're talking about Brady Quinn will be dealt soon - coming to D.C. maybe? Hmmm...
Quinn rumors have been going on for a while. Quinn to DC was one option between the Redskins and Browns (among a couple of others) that was picking up some steam last week but seemingly died over the weekend.

So we were going to trade Quinn for Campbell? who would have been giving up a pick? I sure hope it would have been them.

Well I know I have (and I think others as well) talked about the fact that Shahanan will undoubtedly make one or two decisions this spring that will really make you scratch your head. That's what he does. He loves to take risks.
Actually with the way this off-season has shaped up so far I'd say this plan is more Bruce then it is Shanahan. Maybe the boys on NFL Network were right and they're preparing for the cap to come back as well as a deeper free agent class next year.
However the statements from Bruce saying that they were comfortable with either scenario (Capped or Uncapped) is so much clearer now. I assumed they had two different plans, one where they spend like crazy and another where they play it like they are now. Turns out it was the same plan all along.

Would much rather have a scenario where Campbell and Quinn compete. However is Quinn the type of QB Shanahan would like to work with?

It wouldn't have been a straight up one for one trade

Maybe LJ is that guy. Talent wise I'll take him any day of the week over Willie Parker. If I'm looking for a team guy who will be a positive influence then I'll take Parker. Or...I wait until draft day, trade down, and get both talent and leadership with CJ Spiller! :)
*cough* Maurice Clarett in the 3rd round *cough*
I would also take LJ over Parker.
As far as Brady Quinn, with what has been going on in Cleveland since he got there, he really hasn't had a chance to succeed. But I don't want to give up anything to get him. I'd rather use a draft pick on a QB than give up players and/or picks for Quinn.

Definitely the same plan. Though it's safe to say Allen and Shahanan are working closely together on this plan.
As for Quinn, I believe that Quinn was being forced upon the Redskins more than the Redskins were asking for Quinn. But I don't know the specifics really. I only know the proposed deals that were offered not the reasoning behind them

Love the signing of ...Maake Kemoeatu DT signs 2yr $7million deal
Sounds like a good idea to bring in Quinn to push Campbell, it would need to be a low draft pick. It would also free up the #4 pick to go after Russell Okung...
Larry Jhonson is also a better compliment to Portis, we need a short yardage power back.
If healthy I would definitely take Parker over LJ. At this point LJ is a 3 yards and a cloud of dust runner. I like the idea of having a home run hitter as a change of pace guy in the backfield. Spiller would be insane.
