Well after watching most of the combine I come away with my top prospects in terms of whom the redskins should get in terms of over all value:

1) Sam Bradford (puts on 13 lbs of muscle and just talks at the combine, then all of a sudden he's become the all but certain first overall pick)

2) Russell Okung

3)Ndamakong Suh (just watch what he did to texas's OL, and you'll see how good he really is he single handedly dominated that game and is an exception for us to get even though he may not fit the 3-4)

4) Eric Berry

5) CJ Spiller (the best RB in the draft IMO)

6) Charles Brown (looks like the next best LT in the draft; is very quick on his feet and would fit our offense very well)

7) Mike Iupati (the best guard to come out since Steve Hutchinson, has a mean streak, and I believe he could play in any offense)

8) Bryan Bulaga (has been injured and looks more like a RT in the NFL, and not a LT, doesn't really look like a T for this offense but has potential to be the best T in this draft 5 years from now)

9) Joe Haden (didn't do as good as people thought he would at the combine, but just look at the film and you'll see how good he really is; he's low because we have OL and QB needs before CB needs plus I'm assuming we'll probably go after a CB in FA)

10) Rolando McClain (didn't really do much at the combine, and people are saying he was good just because Saban's system makes him look good, I don't buy it, I also think 3-4 MLB is one of the last things we should worry about)

11) Maurkice Pouncey (the best center in the draft, big and mobile, but we'll probably get a later round center or just rely on Rabach with a later round rookie to groom; and don't sleep on Edwin Williams or Kory Lichtenstreiger)

12) Sean Weatherspoon (is perfect for this defense because he's a 4-3 OLB and a 3-4 MLB, basically a young dansby, but I also think we could have dansby, and like I said before MLB isn't a top need)

Cult my friend, again with the all of a sudden about Bradford? Remember it was the media that kept saying the Rams were going to take Suh, now that the media has had a chance to get a better feeling for what the Rams are thinking they're going with the guy they should have picked to begin with.

As far as Iupati, I hope you're not one of the guys that complains about the penalties against Rabach. Iupati is a notorious holder and would be more the type of guy you'd keep around, not the type of guy you go out and get (sort of like Dockery for us right now, emphasis on the "sort of" part)

I don't think anyones really saying that McClain was good because of Sabans system in fact just the opposite. McClain is being touted as easily one of the best in terms of football IQ. He was basically the college defensive equivalent of Peyton Manning.

Quarterback of the defense and can be seen getting teammates aligned on film. Coaches rave about his understanding of the team's defensive scheme and work ethic in the film room. Locates the ball quickly and practices sound gap discipline. Can take a step towards the line of scrimmage against play action but recovers quickly. Quickly recognizes screens.

Personally I would love Pouncey. If we went two OL with our first and second round pick then he would be a steal. I get the feeling that he will eventually be the type of player that could be on par with Randy Thomas in his prime. Maybe not a pro bowler but definitely a beast. Then again if Thomas had played for the Eagles all these years he would easily have been a pro bowler.

Report: Rams Talk With Eagles About McNabb - Vinnie Iyer - The Trenches - Sporting News (http://www.sportingnews.com/blog/The_Trenches/entry/view/57855/report-rams-talk-with-eagles-about-mcnabb)

Interesting I don't see the Rams making this trade and taking Bradford it will be one or the other.

That rumor is false. Rams are talking to themselves about McNabb. They haven't spoken to the Eagles. Not yet at least.

I wouldn't be surprised still if McCoy is the Rams choice at #1, Chad Pennington is the stopgap solution at QB (unless they stick with Boller, who I think they still have) and they take someone like LeFevour or McCoy at the top of the 2nd.

Heck I'd be tempted to take CJ Spiller. Would hate to be the team that passes on the next Chris Johnson

I hear that, but I don't think that Spiller is the only possibility of being the next CJ in the draft.

if Rams trde the number 1 pick for mcnabb they would be insane. And why would Philly trade him to an NFC team? That also makes no sense. Honestly I still think he stays in Philly and stl drafts Bradford. As much as I want to draft him my gut feeling (I do live in the same city as Sam) is he is a ram.

It's very unlikely that theres another CJ in this draft. And besides even if Spiller was, by the time we'd be ready to compete for a championship Spiller would most likely start to break down. I personally think he's going to be Reggie Bush 2.0. Very talented and dynamic but in order for him to be effective you're going to have to go our of your way to design stuff for him.

Whose argument is that?

50pct or more?

another CJ maybe not.. same you can argue another darren sproles in FA, but you may have someone that does well enough

obviously each had an impact without carrying their team

with your argument about him maybe becoming another bush or someone that breaks down I'd be way more likely to take that possibility in the 4-5th round range even if it meant one less year

2. No Lion! Detroit wants to deal

The Lions (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/detroit-lions/67045), who pick second in the first round, have their fingers crossed that the Rams don’t pick a quarterback so they can trade down with either Cleveland or Buffalo, who apparently are in the quarterback market. The thought process is that new Browns (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/cleveland-browns/67042) czar Mike Holmgren won’t want to lose his favorite quarterback to Washington and new coach Mike Shanahan. The Redskins (http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/team/washington-redskins/67062) are perched at No. 4, three spots ahead of the Browns. The Lions really don’t want to spend $33 million in bonus money on a defensive tackle.
