I'd rather have Clinton Portis and all those hungry young guys behind him.

I'm pretty sure they both grew up as Skins fans though.

True true I am cool with him again.

He's like the anti CP in his approach to the game. JLC compared his stats to CP's over the years & made the point that TJ has been just as productive w/out the drama & big paycheck.

He's from Big Stone GAp in Va. so he might want to come home. I'd ideally rather see a young draft pick (4th or later) added to the mix, but if they decide to nab a vet, TJ maybe the best out there, including LT & WEstbrook. Dude is tough & durable. The stats don't take into account he has one of the best o-lines in the league. 4 1st rounder O-linemen, with 2 drafted by the Jets and two others drafted by other teams.

Besides, there are a couple of [soon-to-be] ex-Broncos RBs that could come here.

I like Jones, don't know if he'll be the best fit but who knows. We don't HAVE to draft a RB this year, there's next year to do that as well.

How is TJ "just as productive"? He has less yards, touchdowns, ypc, receiving yards, receiving tds etc. and played an additional two seasons.

JLC will always have a negative slant on the Redskins.

RB shouldnt be a concern unless were talking draft.

Well have a fresh look to the backfield and running scheme no matter what.
A new rookie will set the tone. CP is still solid too.. youll see.

RB is the least of our worries with Shannhan at the helm. Based on his history I wouldn't expect any veteran RB's to be acquired. I can foresee Shanny drafting a RB in the middle rounds, someone who'll be a major contributor to our offense next year.

I like how a lot of people think that we'd be committing long term to anyone over 28

its true that portis isn't 30 yet, but if you look at his injuries, the amount of carries he's had, and the fact that he doesn't take care of himself anymore, he's about 65 in people years.

Him getting back in shape is the only chance he has this year, or he could be out of the league in 2011 if he has another crappy year.
