I just want to make a prediction and say Derrick Morgan will be this years Brian Orakpo. A guy that should be the first DE taken but ends up getting leaped frogged by uber-athlete Piere-Paul.

CultBrennan59 03-02-2010, 01:14 PM Taylor mays ran a 4.24 unofficial 40 yd dash, Eric Berry ran a 4.40, and Haden struggled with a 4.6. I don't know maybe Berry is the guy to get. Mays's main "problem" was he isn't able to roam all over the field as FS.. Or at least that's what I read on NFL.com.. I have to believe, after Mays showed he can run.. Coaches would have to change their opinions on Mays.. Mays's other problem is covering the coverages, which is something that can be taught.. Edit: But yes, I agree with you.. Berry is still the man to get.. Tim Tebow's name is arguably one of the more controversial right now following his showmanship at the combine this weekend. The feeling is that once he gets to the NFL, it will take some time for him to develop into a viable starter, if it happens at all. In order to help this transition along, Tebow is getting a head start with an impressive cast of coaches (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft10/news/story?id=4935351), according to NFL Insider Adam Schefter. Tebow has already begun to adjust his mechanics, but he won't unveil them until his pro day on March 17. One member of that cast, former NFL head.....blah blah blah Important part: Tebow's chances, by division AFC West (http://espn.go.com/blog/afcwest/post/_/id/10496/afc-west-where-tim-tebow-might-land): Possible for Denver, Oakland. AFC South (http://espn.go.com/blog/afcsouth/post/_/id/9782/afc-south-where-tim-tebow-might-land): Low possibility all around. AFC North (http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/10047/afc-north-where-tim-tebow-might-land): Little chance he winds up here. AFC East (http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/10978/afc-east-where-tebow-might-land): Bills and Pats might snag No. 15. NFC West (http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/14756/nfc-west-where-tim-tebow-might-land): Niners and Rams have QB uncertainty, medium chance of Tebow in 2010. NFC South (http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcsouth/post/_/id/8511/nfc-south-where-tim-tebow-might-land): Highly unlikely to join Brees and Ryan. NFC North (http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id/10268/tebow-in-nfc-north-context): all four teams could have some interest. NFC East (http://espn.go.com/blog/nfceast/post/_/id/11537/nfc-east-where-tebow-might-land): Redskins might make a serious play. Dirtbag59 03-02-2010, 08:02 PM Mays's main "problem" was he isn't able to roam all over the field as FS.. Mays also looked stiff in the change of direction drill where a coach holds a football in the direction they want the DB to backpedal then after which they turn around and play a ball. Mays missed a direction change and wasn't able to locate a ball in the air. Mays 40 time is now offically listed a 4.4. Keep on thikning he would make a hell of a will. SirClintonPortis 03-02-2010, 09:06 PM Hmm, if can Tebow really fixes himself up, I think we grab him, we will be grabbing the QB with the highest ceiling.(I don't follow college ball. Just sayin') SmootSmack 03-03-2010, 01:11 AM I thought I heard a couple of weeks ago that one NFC East team is looking at Mays as a LB. Don't think it's the Redskins though 53Fan 03-03-2010, 04:48 PM WalterFootball.com: 2010 NFL Draft Combine Stock Report: Day 6 (http://walterfootball.com/combine2010stock6.php) Dirtbag59 03-03-2010, 05:04 PM I thought I heard a couple of weeks ago that one NFC East team is looking at Mays as a LB. Don't think it's the Redskins though Please no. Might as well rename the secondary three blind mice in terms of int's if Mays comes here. Looks like Taylor plays like Landry (2009 version). |
