Right now I'm pretty useless.
As of May 2010, I'll be a college graduate with a B.A. in psychology with a focus on criminal law.
I work at Petsmart... Taking care of other people's dogs (its the kennel. You people in Bethesda know what I'm talking about). I've been doing that to get me through college. (So the past 4 years). So basically when you're going to the Skins game and you don't wanna leave Spot at home to chew up your shit... Give us a call.
Btw, if anyone knows any sort of psychology/criminal law based entry level jobs. Please please PLEASE point me in the right direction. Psychology is such a useless major to hold a B.A. in cause you can't do shit with only a B.A. as a psych major.
DC/MD/VA area only. Though I am willing to look into moving (no further than PA) for the right job/salary.

This is a good idea but I recommend...
Maybe some kind of chart, something like the "Warpath location map" or whatever that thing is called.
You could have different industries with the appropriate names underneath (ie finance - schneed, ego boosting - Matty, snow removal - canuck, etc.)
That way if I need a hand in a certain industry I can know right away who might be able to help me. If I have to scroll through a 20 page thread (like every other thread on this site) it will become useless.
Ok there's my suggestion, now get to work mods... ;)
this is just for the info, I'll likely be compiling it into something after we get some more.. then it could be encouraging to others

What the hell do you mean that right now your useless? Your going to college and working what else can you do for yourself and others? Nothing, as far as I'm concerned unless your 45 and have been going to schoool and working at Pets R Us for 20 yrs. Getting your degree is what your suppose to be doing so don't sell yourself short.

To you guys doing dev, etc what are the better degrees/focuses right now?
I know MIS was big here recently but it seems that there's always something new to focus on for getting hired. I know that SharePoint specialisits seem to be in demand.

DRave, a good friend of mine works for the FBI if you want to go that route. I could put you in touch with her if so. Lemme know.
