I have a sociology degree, with a focus on criminology. When I was in college my professors wanted me to pursue a PhD in the field, but I never did partially due to a lack of strong convictions; I consider myself a relativist and most college professors hate that. I looked at some schools, UMD as a great criminology program and GW as a cool masters degree that's basically 20th century American history from a sociological prospective, but I couldn't make up my mind and I never wanted to take the GRE so I just started working instead.
Despite my nonsensical ramblings here I was a good writer back in the day, and I may still be. In the past I wrote some pieces for a couple of friends' now defunct blogs and that was enjoyable but I'm much too lazy to do that sort of thing for very long on my own.
I currently work for a large marketing company where I basically prep data files for direct mail. I work on one of our biggest accounts where I make big blue coupons that one may use on a Saturday, if you have enough time. I feel like the guy from Office Space.
Basically I can offer no help to anyone, except I may provide the occasional zinger or pop culture reference.
That is all.
