No one is sold on Jason Campbell, we're just sick of simple minded people that think a simple change of QB will make us into a Super Bowl contender right away. The only reason Campbell is being brought up, is because some people want us to take a franchise tackle and keep Campbell in the interim until either we can a.) develop a mid-round QB or b.) we can pick up a first-round QB in 2011.

K.............so lets just draft Bradford than. Campbell gonna be here for one year I guess or get traded. So no problems here guess we where mis-understood.

JC hasn't been re-signed because he hasn't proven himself a franchise QB. Everyone agrees on that.

He hasn't been released because he isn't the only reason we were 4-12. Most everyone understands that too.

What Shanahan does with him now will depend on what MS wants as a future qb. And only MS can answer that one, I am sure we will have a far better idea after this draft.

You and me...we'll be great friends here

Anyway Brennan deserves a shot just like how Campbell and Collins both got shots last year to be a starting QB, and by a shot I mean he gets to play with the starters and not 2nd/3rd Stringers.Brennan had his shot. Now, Andre Woodson, he didn't get any meaningful gametime here before we moved on. Brennan has been here two preseasons.

It was a 6th round pick that didnt pay off. Won't be the last.

So your arguing about Campbell being here for one year than?. I mean thats what obviously your saying...part of the reason was every one else but Campbell . I mean its not Campbell fault for a 4-12 record.

Yep. K i see what you mean.

Yes, I'm arguing for Campbell to be here for just a year, so we can use our resources in our offensive line, since we have an aging left tackle that has a possibly career-ending injury, and a right tackle that has no business being a starter.

However, you insist on attacking Campbell as though someone is calling for him to get an extended contract and that his the franchise QB of the team. No one is arguing that, and you look a bit ridiculous bringing arguments that were debated to death here last fall. So just drop it.

Joke based on a commercial Campbell did for Geico (I think) where they poked fun at him and called him Jason Candle

Okay...I missed that Ad.

Well I guess you're glad of this because weren't you the one that early in the season wanted the Redskins to lose so we can have a top 5 pick? If memory serves me right, I used to call you a Cowboys fan.

Well yeah, because once we lost to the winless detroit lions, winless KC chiefs, to name a few, I knew that we would suck and theres no point of ruining seasons of good teams such as the saints, eagles, to name a few, just for us to have a higher draft pick and be stuck with a worse pick. Wouldn't you agree that we're in a good spot in this draft to get pretty much who ever we want? I would. And the only games I wanted us to win were against Dallas, so again for the 100th time, I'm not a Dallas Fan. If you go back to the minnesota dallas game thread you'll see that I was very excited to see them lose.

Now, for the 3rd time. Back to Brennan who deserves a shot with the starters and not the 3 stringers.

Why? Why should Shanahan give the 3rd string/low round project QB picked up by the previous coach a chance? Like I said, at best Brennan is a backup, in reality he'll probably be gone come training camp.

I was right, you are the Cowboys fan. Thanks for reminding me. Now the whole "let's re-build the offensive line with old FAs and UFAs" makes sense.

I dont think colt will stick on the roster come roster trimming time but i would like to see him start 1 pre season game with the starters.

i dont think colt will turn out to be anything but i would like to see the man get one half of football with the starters.

its just hard to get a feel for colt, at least for me. i dont think you can dismiss him as a 2nd or 3rd string qb just yet. this preseason will shed light on alot of things.

I think that this thread was the official start of the offseason. Thread Quality is all downhill from here.

For the record I like Colt and want to see him succeed but realistically it isn't going to happen here. It might not even happen at all.
