Please no Whitner.
There are a lot of good FS in the draft besides Eric Berry worth targeting: Taylor Mays, Earl Thomas, Chad Jones, maybe even Myron Rolle.

I'd say yes, he hits very hard for a corner. He could be our Antrel Rolle.

I would be perfectfly happy with Berry, like jump up and down happy with a smile and stuff. He is the only pick not a OL that would illicit such a reaction.
Yes, because draft day reactions are an indicator of future success :D Well at least for the Jets.

Myron Rolle is a rare class of human being with a combination of smarts and athletic ability. Someone's going to get a heck of a football player a few years down the line, if that.

It doesn't make sense to move Hall to FS as he is being paid like an elite cover corner. That is just too much money to throw at an experiment.
Horton is not a FS as he gets roasted in coverage situations. He had a great start to his career but he is not who you want as the last line of defense or covering a good pass catching tight end.
IMO Rogers is just too good as a cornerback to play around with back there. I would rather go with a FA if we really need to upgrade there.
I still think that Landry can play that position and he is currently our best FS. Hopefully Haslett can coach him up.

Why not draft Eric Berry?
It is very likely that he won't be there at 4. But if he is, I would want him over Bradford and Clausen 100 out of 100 times.

Last line of defense is the FS's job, covering Tight Ends frequently is done by SS's. So where do you want Horton playing?

I agree to an extent. I don't think deep coverage is his strong point which is why he's better suited to play in the box (OLB...why not, they toyed with chris wilson at the position?).
I guess I overstated Horton having a nose for the ball. Ray Lewis and Ed Reed have a nose for the ball. Horton has made plays when they've come to him which is far more than we can say for Rogers.
I really think he'd do well playing in the box. He isn't afraid to stuff run action his way and i think he could cover the TE or backs out of the backfield.
Yeah, Wilson has a good 45lbs or so on Horton though. Jacobs would roll him easier than he did Landry.

how can you judge horton on one year? who knows what he can do we honestly haven't seen enough of him to know what his potential
and rogers is too good of a cover corner? according to who, byron westbrook?
as far as landry goes i agree with you i think he is our best safety he has shown great talent and ability, he just needs to harness it hopefully some new coaching with a better game plan will help him out. cause where he is at now is a huge dissapointment from where we drafted him

FS also picks up or helps on receiver routes, I'd rather have Horton doing SS over FS by far.
