Tebow has issues w/mechanics & takes too long to get rid of the ball, i.e. maybe he doesn't see the field well. The latter may not be correctable much, but if a coach wants to work on his release that can be done.

Otherwise, he's a high character guy w/work ethic, intangibles, etc. For all the players in the draft every year that have shortcomings this guy's have been really analyzed too much. Like any nfl qb, give him a few years to grow. I think he's a QB, not an H-back/fullback, and I wouldn't mind seeing us get him in the 4th or later. I know he's unlikely to be there.

Some team w/fewer needs that already has a starting qb in place for the next 4-5 years is going to take him w/the hopes they can groom him into at least a solid backup. Our problem, as always, is that we have too many needs to justify taking a chance on players like this w/a pick in the early rounds.

His mechanics can be tweaked and improved with good coaching. I agree, his best option will be to land with a good team that is willing to invest some time in him & won't toss him into the fire right away.

Scary if he went to New England, Brady has maybe 3 or 4 more solid years there then they bring in Tebow. I could see that working.

he'll get a chance at QB and if you don't think he will...you don't know much at football. The kid is at least deserving of a chance to prove himself at the next level...some club will take a chance and it will be in the first round. book it.
You have got to be kidding me! There is no way Tebow goes in the 1st round. For the reasons stated before. He's a 3rd rounder @ best. Wouldn't it be hilarious if the great Tim Tebow was "Mr. Irrelevant"? lmao

Yeah I don't see someone taking him in the 1st. I would say late 2nd at the very earliest, even then that might be a stretch.

Half Tebow's game is his ability to run with the ball. Half of his game is officially gone with his introduction to the NFL. Hopefully he has the mental capacity to learn to take a snap from center, and he has a decent arm. I think he will be a project no doubt, but with several years of experience and in the right system could be a pretty good QB in the NFL.

I would look at Tebow as a player like the NY Jets' Brad Smith. Brad Smith was a good quarterback in college but not suited to the professional game. Good runner, good athlete, just like Tebow. Smith's value is his versatility. That's the only way Tebow is going to be valuable in the NFL. I do not think he can play quarterback full time. He can help a team but it will be with his versatility. In my mind, he is a middle to low round pick. A team with an established quarterback could use him.

If I remember right Alan Fanecca ripped Big Ben before he got a chance to start his first game. Big Ben then went on to win 15 straight games.

Here it is:
"Exciting? No, it's not exciting. Do you want to go work with some little young kid who's just out of college?" — Alan Faneca, on rookie Ben Roethlisberger's first start replacing Tommy Maddox

Initially I thought the 1st was a crazy call too, but in the late first one of the playoff teams might fear that he will be nabbed in the 2nd. I could see NE taking him as someone mentioned earlier, or Minnesota. Not saying it's likely, but I wouldn't be totally surprised by it.

Tebow is definitely one of the most intriguing prospects in years, seems everyone wants to weigh in on the debate.

I could see that. Plus Urban Meyer and Belichick are close friends. I don't think anyone is going to draft Tebow to be a day 1 starter in the NFL.

I think it's funny that people want to write him off after a few days of practice at the senior bowl. The kid has been operating in spread offense from the shotgun his entire life. I mean, geez, he must be a failure for not immediately grasping a pro-style offense in a matter of days. Apparently he got better as the week went on. He's coachable, smart, has a phenomenal work ethic, and his intangibles are through the roof. He's a project for sure, but I think he can have success in the NFL.
