What Kurt Warner's retirement means for fantasy football - ESPN (http://insider.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?entryID=4869133&name=karabell_eric_football&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fesp n%2fblog%2findex%3fentryID%3d4869133%26name%3dkara bell_eric_football)

Damn, this sucks. Warner was a great QB and i think he'll be a first ballot Hall of Famer.

Yeah I'm sad to see him go. His career was a hell of a story, from bagging groceries to SB champ, then a mid career slump, then regaining his past glory and helping to revive a long struggling franchise in Arizona getting them to a SB. Great guy off the field as well.

Yeah he was a great role model and a real example for Christian atheletes such as myself...

Im not one of those crazy religious extremist but Kurt is one of my favorite QB's of all time. Anyone know if he is going to payback half of his 2 year signing bonus. He comes across as a guy that would. And he might be the last player with the gigantic shoulder pads……

Good luck to you Kurt Warner

Not surprising - He's had a great career. Not only a very good QB but a equally good humanitarian. The game will always miss players like Kurt Warner.

Sorry to see him leave the game but with 7 kids his job now is needed at home.

I was never sold on the guy. Give me Bruce, Holt, Faulk, and Hakim, to pair with any QB and I will make him great. I will trade him to a less talented team and he will struggle. I will then pair him with Boldin, Fitzgerald, Breaston, and Arrington and watch him revive his career.

Warner was good at getting the ball out of his hands before he got hit, luckily he had some talent on the other end to do something with it. That the way I see it and you cannot change it.

Neither is Kurt Warner.

Anyways, great man...great QB with a great story. I thought he was washed up when he was on the Giants, but he proved me wrong. I think he'll end up in the HOF. Shame he was SO close to another title last year.

He needs to hang it up for his family and health though, he's taken a massive beating over the years and concussions are nothing to play with.

Give the guy credit. If you protect him he delivers and plays at a very high level. Warner was one of the most gifted pure passers of our time. His completion % and stats speak for themselves. He threw 100+ td's for two teams. Not many if anyone has done that. Did Bruce, Holt and Hakim have the same succes they did when Kurt was there? I'm not saying he's a HOF'er but he was damn good.

I think the guy is great and definitely HOF worthy. That game he had a few weeks ago where he tore up the Packers was one of the best all time performances I've seen from a QB. He had more TDs than incompletions in that game. Insane.
