I was never sold on the guy. Give me Bruce, Holt, Faulk, and Hakim, to pair with any QB and I will make him great. I will trade him to a less talented team and he will struggle. I will then pair him with Boldin, Fitzgerald, Breaston, and Arrington and watch him revive his career.

Warner was good at getting the ball out of his hands before he got hit, luckily he had some talent on the other end to do something with it. That the way I see it and you cannot change it.

All good players except Hakim and Arrington. Look at Boldin, Fitz an Breastons numbers next years and see if they miss Kurt.

Holt and Bruces best numbers came with Warner throwing to them. It will be interesting to see what the Cardinals offense evolves into.

i guess joe montanna wasn't really a great qb because he played most of his career throwing to the greatest wr of all time (rice)

I was surprised he retired but I don't blame him. He had a great career and has some gas left in the tank. Great QB, class human being. Enjoy life as always Kurt. Thanks for some awesome memories. :thumb:

You also have to look at who was throwing the ball to those WR's before the QB's you listed.

Most of the guys I'm referring to were a bunch of college unknowns. You may be able to apply that logic to the Vikings this year, but almost all of the recievers that these guys have developed have been out of nowhere.

Brady is a special case also, they didn't decide to buy him some weapons (Moss and Welker) until he developed a few on his own. Patten, Branch, Brown and others. Then again where would Welker and Moss be right now without Brady?

Congrats to a great player & person! I really am surprised & thought he could give it one more shot w/the cards. Maybe he'll announce that he's coming back just as Farve announces he'll retire again?!

Schefter threw out the idea of the Cards trying to nab McNabb in a deal since he has a home in ARizona.

He still played at a high level after leaving San Fran without Rice.

but who took them to and won the superbowl ?

Whichever QB just happened to lead them in 1999. Any one of them could have done it that year. That offense was even more unstoppable in 2000 and they could have won it then too. Green Started 8 games that year BTW.

I was wrong earlier, it was one year with Giants. Was injured most of time and was still 5-4 when they decided to go with Eli. The reason i said circular logic because you also say later how some recievers were only good when they got certain Qbs. So qbs are only good because wrs, then wrs only good because of qbs.

He basically resurrected(no pun intended) two franchises and took both to Super Bowls. Not to mention he has passing records and a long career. Great winning percentage. Does he need to go to the Lions and win a superbowl to impress you? Nevermind they have good receivers that wouldn't count.

you just won't admit your wrong, will you.

how many teams has warner been the starting qb for ? 3, if thats correct then he has taken 2 out of the 3 to the superbowl and out of the two trips to the big game he's won 1. thats pretty impressive too me. btw, who was the mvp of the 1 he won ?

Neither is Kurt Warner.

Just reread what i wrote, and its not really what i was trying to say. I just dont like the people that like him because he happens to be a football player that's Christian. Just like i dont like the people that like Pacman Jones because he happens to be a football player thats a thug.
