Once Again Officials Take Control of the Game!!!

I'm sorry and I don't care what anyone else thinks. The officials gave the game to Green Bay. And I thought there was an advantage to Homefield. Brunell finally stepped up and played like he wanted to win only to have it stripped away by a "Phantom" illegal shift that no one else in the world saw. Not only that but then they missed a PI call on the next play where Coles was clearly held allowing Green Bay to get an interception to end the game. If you don't believe me, than how did his jersey get pulled down off of his shoulder pads? Not to mention the missed PI call on the defense on the throw to Portis that was missed during the Skins first drive that would have given them the ball inside the 10 and also the missed PI call on the defense when Brunell threw to Coles or Gardner who was mugged and hit well before the ball got there that would have given the Skins a first down.

I'm sorry about the rant. But I am so tired of no calls or bad calls or even "Phantom" calls being made by officials that make 2k - 7k a game. They make enough money to buy the badly needed glasses or contacts.

The NFL needs to conduct an investigation with it's officials. I don't know, maybe I missed it, but there wasn't a flag thrown on that last play until Portis was nearly in the endzone. Something just doesn't seem right to me.

My hats off to the Defense once again for keeping them in the game. Granted they didn't have a great first half but overall there performance was outstanding and it shows why they are the Number 1 Defense in the NFL and should stay there. Yes, they gave up more yardage than their average..but they still stepped up when they needed to and gave the offense the chance to win. And my opinion, the O did step up. Brunell struggled in the first half and overthrew quite a few receivers. I admit, I don't think he can throw the long ball anymore, but he did improve in the 2nd half versus the first.

All in all, I think the Skins were a MUCH improved team only to have the outcome decided by the officials. They made mistakes and overcame them. Granted the Offense didn't play as well as they should or need to. But IMO they played well enough to win which is an improvement.

Many of you won't agree with me and will say Officials don't cause teams to win or lose. I'm will just state how can you say that when it has been proven time and time again the exact opposite.

I am sorry for the long winded post and my rude comments about the officials. But I strongly feel that not only did the officials cost us the game but they may have nearly cost us the season with this games officiating and previous ones.

Wasen't it Gardner who was held? And had his jersey pulled off his shoulder pad, which helped to aid Harris to launch himself in front of Gardner and make the INT?

I found it funny the announcer's and network didn't spend any time going over the replay to put an emphasis on the lack of a call on the illegal motion which probably decieded the game.

Well Dragon, I feel the same way as you and then some. There are several reasons for my suspiscions about the official miscalls. First of all, I didn't see a flag thrown until Portis was halfway back to the sidelines after the celebration. If this was a penalty, why did they wait until the TD was called? This is ridiculous. There are a alot of people including several officials who want to see Snyder, Gibbs and Company fall flat on their faces. These jealous hearted bastards are robbing one of the best coaches of all time with petty calls that cannot be challenged. Of course, Brunell didn't help the situation by missing a wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiddddde open Cooley, but all things considered, we got the turnover and was in the position to win and the officials decided who would win.

They don't want to see the richest team in the NFL be as successful as their sales and marketing profits have been.

Well I can agree with all of you that the referees certainly helped out GB cause quite a bit today. But then again we've been seeing that all season. Remember the Dallas game and the outrageous PI call? My point here is that it's no big secret that refs seem to help out the teams with winning records and make calls that hurt the teams with losing records. But the really good teams don't have to rely on the ref calling a holding penalty here or a illegal motion there. The good teams can perform at a level where the calls really don't matter. Look at the Giants, the Steelers, and the Eagles for examples. They don't need a call to go their way to win because they can play at a level where they can dominate their opponent. I think our defense is there already but our offense is still a good distance away from that level. That has to be our goal.

I was hoping someone knew when that flag was actually thrown, I only saw 1 replay and couldn't figure out who the call was on being no one moved, The very next thought in my head was I wonder when he threw the flag? Reason? I just have had a strong feeling that for 1 reason or another we are deliberately being screwed by the ref's, which in turn work for the power's that be in the NFL, to many blatent penalties not called, and plenty of non penalties called, I just think the word is out to see to it we don't do anything this year.

And I have to believe Gibb's is part of this conspiracy he keep's playing Brunell when everyone in the football world know's the guy is pathetic.

We was robbed! I really hate blamming refs and yes we had our own chances to win this game. But against a tough Green Bay team, the Packers do not need any help. That was an officiating travesty!

Any time refs take points off the board it better be a clear penalty. That was a pure BS call and not only did it take points off the board but it took a W off the board for the Skins.
