SUNRA 10-31-2004, 06:36 PM We was robbed! I really hate blamming refs and yes we had our own chances to win this game. But against a tough Green Bay team, the Packers do not need any help. That was an officiating travesty!
Amen, brother. Amen. We were robbed without a gun.
SUNRA 10-31-2004, 06:46 PM I was hoping someone knew when that flag was actually thrown, I only saw 1 replay and couldn't figure out who the call was on being no one moved, The very next thought in my head was I wonder when he threw the flag? Reason? I just have had a strong feeling that for 1 reason or another we are deliberately being screwed by the ref's, which in turn work for the power's that be in the NFL, to many blatent penalties not called, and plenty of non penalties called, I just think the word is out to see to it we don't do anything this year.
And I have to believe Gibb's is part of this conspiracy he keep's playing Brunell when everyone in the football world know's the guy is pathetic.
Even I called for Ramsey after the dismal second and third quarter that Brunell gave us. The camera panned down to Ramsey on the sidelines with his chinstrap snapped and this was before Brunell was injured. There will be discussions about this game, moreso than others between Gibbs and his staff about the future of Brunell. I have said in the past, that Brunell will not last here more than two seasons and that Gibbs will look for another veteran QB. Ramsey will play this year do to Brunell's reoccurring injuries. Let's hope we don't have to make another QB change back and forth.
d151b 10-31-2004, 07:27 PM well i'm finally able to move again. i've been absolutely NUMB for the last 3 hours after the game not able to even get up to go to the bathroom. YES, we did get beat by the refs for the second time this season, but the overall feeling of metaphorically taking it up the A has gone too effing far. Our offense, the refs, the heartbreaking losses, nothing significant going our way and always turning into a huge positive for the other team has left me feeling just a BIT dissolusioned and let down.
I'm not even sure what to say right now...
Does anyone else think this brunell guy is actually working for the devil........ um....., i mean jerry jones!

I didn't see Brunell get injured, but I am tired of hearing Gibb's say he fought his gut's out, he's the only one not fighting his gut's out, and the rest of the team is taking it on the chin because of his incompetency, as far as Im concerned the only guy's that are fighting their gut's out are the guy's trying to win in spite of Brunell.
So are we saying Brunell isn't playing hard and isn't doing everything he can to help us win??
I guess we're all down on the field and in the huddle seeing Brunell dogging it huh?
Brunell is the easy scapegoat, but I've got news for the Brunell haters, there are problems that go deeper than just who's under center right now.
If Ramsey was the magic wand that would turn this around, don't you think Gibbs would go to him?
redrock-skins 10-31-2004, 07:51 PM The problems do run deeper than Brunell. But with the playoffs out reach, time to give Ramsey his shot. I've been for "staying the course", but we need to see if Ramsey is our future or go a different direction next year. Brunell is not the answer.

I agree, I think it's only a matter of time before we see Ramsey.
By the way, did anyone notice who was hugging Brunell after he hit Portis for the "game winning TD"? Yep, it was Ramsey. I dunno I just thought it was pretty cool.

I'm not saying Brunells not playing hard, I'm sure he's playing hard, and I'm not questioning his effort. I'm questioning his skill, or lack there of. There are problems deeper than who's under center, but common, Brunell overthrew a ton of open recivers that would have resulted in points, and one time a touchdown. Brunell just dosent have it anymore, I dont know any other way to put it. He hasent done anything all year, to make me think otherwise. The only people that are saving him are Gardner and Coles who have made some AMAZING catches. To respond to the last point, I dont think Gibbs is going to go Ramsey, because hes embaressed that he made a 43 million dollar mistake. Common Matty, do you really think Ramsey could be any worse than Brunell is right now? Even if he is just as bad, at least we find that out now, so we can get another QB in the offseason rather than suffer through anohter season with a incapable QB, if Ramsey cant get it done?
celts32 10-31-2004, 07:54 PM I am beside myself with these awful calls. There is no more painful way to lose a game than when the officials are involved and that makes two of those games for the Skins this year. That motion penalty was complete BS and to top it off by missing the hold on Gardners jersey on the very next play is just inexcusable. I don't see how they can miss it when the guy who did it ends up with the interception. Isn't that right where they should have been looking? Awful awful awful...

Yeah I just saw that on primetime. I heard those two were really good friends on the team, so I gotta imagine its pretty hard for Ramsey as well as Brunell. I'm glad they have a good relationship, and when Ramsey goes in, which I think is inevitable at this point, I hope Brunell shows the same support Ramsey has shown him.
