This is on the level of speeding ticket for me. We don't really care. It's the off season. Get some rest. Have some fun. Be back in March and ready to rock.

Public intoxication is such a BS charge, there's no way that should be a crime unless it's coupled with some other behavior. This just makes me like Chad more.

Whether he deserves the reputation or not, Rinehart is a NFL bad boy now to fans from other teams.

"According to the paper, the officer noticed Rinehart attempting to order pizza at about 2 a.m. The officer said Rinehart had alcohol on his breath, bloodshot eyes and was swaying."

I really hope that there is more to this than just the above, otherwise I should be arrested at least 3 times a week...

shit i should probably be doin major time right now

top notch! top notch!

im not going to lambast the guy or make judgment calls about his dedication but i do think to be the very best in the nfl you need to commit yourself 365 days a year. being drunk at a pizza joint in your old college town at 2 in the morning may be ok (and down right expected) of me or you but not for him.

you get paid big bucks to stay in shape and be as physically prepared as you can be. conditioning can be the down fall for alot of the bigger players, i hope this doesnt prove to be the case/pattern for chad. but we know he has had trouble getting up to speed in the nfl already.
man you guys must've hated the hogs

It's such a crap violation, public drunkenness.

Sort of retarded to head to a pizza joint at 2 am tho...you should be looking for a denny's or waffle house and then plan to feel even worse than if you just had the hangover :)

It's the offseason, he's out having some fun. Big whoop. Guys drink during the season too, it's no shocker.

could this be an excuse for shanahan to release chad since he may not fit our scheme?

Unless there is a HUGE increase in onfield performance, I don't think that Shanahan will need any excuse to release this player.
