He isn't a great quarterback, far from it, but he has a plus NFL arm, very good character, is very mobile when used correctly and has been battle tested. Half the qb's in this upcoming draft will shit themselves every single time they step on the NFL stage. They will be eaten alive. JC has been in the fight. He is tough as hell. JC clearly has problems breaking down certain coverage schemes at NFL speed, but there are maybe ten or twelve quarterbacks on the planet who can do that trick very well. Give the guy a year to work with this particular coach and his offensive minded son/ or trade him for a third and a sixth. Buffalo would probably be in the market but I don't wish that on anyone, even though I'd grade JC a C- on his football skillz, the dude get an A+ for character, and I 'd like to see him go somewhere more stable. There are a few more teams I can think of, Carolina/KC(if they can unload Cassel)/Seattle?/Browns/Cardinals(if KW retires)/Rams(if Bulger retires)/Tampa/Da Raiders... wow this list keeps getting longer the more I think of teams with QB issues. I couldn't imagine trading for picks unless we got at least a 2. Otherwise keep him for a year and draft a QB in the 4th. Okung for LT in 2010! If Shanahan saw something in Colt and/or Campbell that he could work with, that would be phenomenal. I really really really don't want us to have to use our #4 pick on a QB.
