TheMalcolmConnection 01-18-2010, 08:38 AM Yeah, I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree with you here. I don't it was a saying of courage for her to come on here and attempt to talk more shit after the boys got humiliated. In fact, I think this was VRG's sad little attempt to make herself feel better. She was sitting there at the clinic on her blackberry going "well the cowboys still had a better record than the Redskins, so I'm going to go talk trash to their fans to make me feel like I'm important." She's just deflecting and I think it's pretty damn funny.
Basically the story of EVERY SINGLE COWBOYS FAN that I personally know today...
hooskins 01-18-2010, 09:00 AM if you bitched about the Patriots running up the score against the Skins, then you had better side with Brooking here. IMO, it was classless, and rubbing it in. but its the Cowboys, so great job Minn.
Thank you.
It was classless, and it was a Belicheat move. Ask yourself this question, would Joe Gibbs every do that? No; because he has standards and sportsmanship. It was a dick move. Period. Can't be upset at the Pats and not the Viks.
However, if you are happy the Cowboys suffered, that is fine. Spoken truthfully, dmek:goodjob:
hooskins 01-18-2010, 09:04 AM I dont think they ran up the score..it's the playoffs, it's not like a regula season game. What were they supposed to do? Have childress put in all his backups with 6 minutes to go?? What would have happened then when the 2nd team started putting points on the board??
They kept the fucking hammer down against the Eagles. They wanted to embarass them, and humiliate them. Nobody from Philly cried like Brooking did. The cowboys deserved it because their offense was dead the whole game and their defense is shit. It's the NFL people, if the score is being run up on you, that's because you are letting it.
Wrong, they shouldnt have gone for it on 4th down with 3 mins left, when the game was won. Gibbs would have never done it. I bring up Gibbs, because he showed sportsmanship.

I'd say it's easier to stop a 4th down attempt than a field goal.
Or perhaps they should have just taken a knee even though there were 2 minutes left. To me that's just as bad as going for the TD because it makes the cowboys look like they need charity.
I guess the only acceptable option would have been to run the ball, but if the RB broke it for a TD we'd still be in the same situation.

Exactly.
I said this in the beginning of the thread that these are professional football players. It's not Central Virginia Valley State University College versus the University of Alabama. I have no problem with scoring every time you have a chance.
I'm only sad the Vikings didn't put up more points on them.
djnemo65 01-18-2010, 09:22 AM Even if it's true that it's classless to go for the score in that situation (debatable but whatever) it's even MORE classless to whine about after the fact and preen like a chump in front of the sidelines. How did Gibbs react when Belichick went for it on fourth down in the fourth quarter leading 45-0? By stating emphatically that there was nothing wrong with what he did. Let other people call it classless Keith, you just got your bitch ass whooped so ride out quietly into the night.
firstdown 01-18-2010, 10:15 AM So when did it become classless for an O to go out and do their job by scoring. I personaly thought that was he best thing the Vikes could have done because at that point in the game they still had Petterson in the game running the ball. After that TD the O could just take a knee and run out the clock not riskin anyone getting injured.
hooskins 01-18-2010, 10:18 AM Exactly.

So you had no prob with the Pats running up the score on us, when there is realistically no impact that score had on the result?
TheMalcolmConnection 01-18-2010, 10:29 AM Nope, not a single bit. It just proves that changes needed to be made. If you are that inferior to your competition, you deserve it.

Fair enough. I guess I just disagree. It doesnt make sense to score, when the game is 100 percent over. Burn the clock and end the game quicker, without rubbing it in.
