Saden, the quote you take is kind of out of context. I didn't exactly mean it in the DUI sense. I think what he did was stupid, but there's this whole innocent before proven guilty thing in the US. I'm not sure of all of the rules but I think if Gibbs wants to suspend him before he's been convicted he can file a greivance with the league. Depending on where we are in December he can get the case continued too.

I am not sure if the story is true but if it is true I wouldn't be surprised.
My preseason post tells the whole story: http://www.thewarpath.net/showthread.php?p=21556#post21556

I wonder how many other players who were just as drunk at that party didn't get caught on the way home.

AWSOME!! This is very dissapointing. I was glad to hear it was D.U.I and not D.W.I. While neither is good, DUI means he wasent totaly blasted. I think if this is anyone else in the league on any other team, we would be blasting the hell out of them. So I'll do the Skin thing and give Taylor a SLIGHT pass on this one.... but this is bad, real bad. I dont care if a million other people do this every night, its stupid. You dont drink and drive, he's lucky he didnt kill someone. I dont know all the parameters so I'll stop there, but I'm very dissapointed in this.

This guy has been trouble, right from the start. Not having an agent, then complaining about the contract he signed. Now this.
I don't have good vibes about him at all.
Age is no excuse for what he purportedly did.
Also, for those who suggested he should have delayed taking the test so he could pass - Are you kidding? Try telling that to all the folks who have lost loved ones to drunk drivers. Are you so interested in making sure he is eligible to play that you overlook the seriousness of what happened? If the charges are true, he should pay the price just like anyone else. Maybe then he'll think twice before climbing behind the wheel after having had too much to drink. Maybe, too, that will save a life.
Can't believe Gibbs is at all pleased with what he's seen from Taylor, starting with the agent debacle.

First of all, its a DUI, not a DWI - the latter being a much more serious offense.
I say Gibbs should bench the guy for this game - let Lott and Franz cash in on the INTs from Favre - there will be at least a couple.
i could be mistaken but i believe dui (driving under the influence) and dwi (driving while intoxicated) are the same offense just some people say dui while others say dwi
