I've officially fallen off the Mason bandwagon also this last year but I wonder if he would look better in Shanahan's scheme.

ask me this question after every year since he's been here and my answer is always 'no'...

Wow...I know you guys are upset about his antics but not wanting him back is foolish. Who is going to get you that 1000 yards? Who are the defenses going to focus on?

Portis is still a baller people and you'll realize what you're missing if the Skins lose him.

I wonder whether they really have patched things up or just removed the conflict from public view.

I don't think Portis even intended to question Jason's leadership, he's just isn't very media savvy and isn't the most articulate dude.

My vote is no. Although I agree almost 100% with everything he said about Jason Campbell's abilities and the weak "captains" we've had on our team, saying those things publicly was a huge mistake, and I think Jason Campbell still has the potential to be a leader and at leats already has the respect of most of his teammates . . . something Portis never even considered before he shot his mouth off.

I wish I could see a scenario where we land C.J. Spiller, but I don't see it happening. Everything is pointing towards Spiller going late in the first.

I now dust off my completely pulled-out-of-my-ass three-way trade scenario from last night:

I say we give Portis to the Browns in order for them to take Matt Cassel's contract, clearing space for KC to swap 1st round picks with us, letting them get Clausen and giving us their left tackle (who is actually a guard). Thus, we get a pro LG and draft Okung at LT with the 5th pick. We just solidified our blindside and dumped Portis, and each team is happy.

Originally, I wanted them to keep Portis but I think it comes down to three important points.

His is overpaid.
He is devisive.
He is worn down if not broken down.

I love what he used to bring on Sunday but I think it is time to move on.

Now if he is the hardest working player in the offseason, then let him stay but I don't see it happening.

Even with CP back, I'm pretty sure we'll see a RB taken in the draft. Interesting to note that Shanahan was interested in trading for Betts a few years ago.

Lagarett Blount!!! I take him in the 5th or 6th round, he was at onetime proceeded as a top 2nd rounder.. Shanny can get him straight.

I say keep him if he gets in shape and runs like he did in Denver or at least close to it..
