Even with CP back, I'm pretty sure we'll see a RB taken in the draft. Interesting to note that Shanahan was interested in trading for Betts a few years ago.
Do you want Portis back next season?MTK 01-08-2010, 10:34 AM Even with CP back, I'm pretty sure we'll see a RB taken in the draft. If there is no market for the kid bring him back on a lesser contract. Even then I do not know if I want him on the team. CP wasn't exactly quite when he was in the end of his run in Denver under MS's discipline. SKINSnCANES 01-08-2010, 10:40 AM Clinton Portis is the best offensive linemen we have at this point. Until the line gets shored up it will help our QB to have a running back that actually picks up blitzers. celts32 01-08-2010, 10:43 AM I only want him back if we can put him in a dunk tank at the 50 yard line. Just kidding...but he does need to go. Rajmahal33 01-08-2010, 10:44 AM I accidentally voted No but i meant Yes. Not that one vote has ever counted. I think he is worth the roster spot for at least one more season. I believe he should get a second chance with the skins in the Shanny system provided he can keep his mouth shut. I absolutely think he still has some gas in the tank and if next year is uncapped, who cares what his salary is? Ultimately it comes down to this equation for me... (CP's Remaining Production + His Motivation to prove himself - His Issues) X Shanny's system > 1 Year's experience for our Future Back SBXVII 01-08-2010, 10:46 AM Do you all want Anders Beutel to return? Maybe a poll. 53Fan 01-08-2010, 10:52 AM He can't go fast enough for me. Gone. Longtimefan 01-08-2010, 11:00 AM I voted no but I'm sort of on the fence about him. He has been such a distraction at times it's easy to become discouraged about him. There's a possibility he could still be productive in a lesser role but the problem is, will they be willing to pay him what he's owed for lesser production. If I were forced to not straddle the fence I'd say no. Brody81 01-08-2010, 11:03 AM I agree!!! Bye Bye Clinton... Lotus 01-08-2010, 11:19 AM If everything else were equal, I would say bring him back. But the opportunity to dump his bloated salary in an uncapped year is too great. I say send him packing. |
