Yes we are, do you have a Redskin jersey do you buy tickets etc. celts32 01-14-2010, 03:26 PM I wanted April myself...but more importantly I now trust the Redskins decision makers so Smith is fine with me. I think ARE was our main special teams problem and it seems to be unclear if keeping him back there was even Smith's decision. rbanerjee23 01-14-2010, 03:55 PM Yes we are, do you have a Redskin jersey do you buy tickets etc. Exactly...the reason Danny charges massive parking fees etc. is b/c he pays these outrageous contracts to players/coaches who don't deserve it. Put a good quality on the field and I'll be happy to pay but no thanks till then. Dirtbag59 01-14-2010, 05:21 PM Head Coach: Mike Shanahan Offensive Coordinator: Kyle Shanahan Defensive Coordinator: Jim Haslet Special Teams Coordinator: Danny Smith QB's: Chris Meidt (Holdover form previous regime, possibly could end up as an offensive consultant)) RB's: Bobby Turner (Also will serve as Associate Head Coach) WR's: Richard Mann TE's: Possibly Scott Wachenheim OL: Possibly Jeff Jagodzinski LB's:Lou Spanos DL: Possibly Mike Waufle or Tim Krumrie DB's: Bob Slowick (There will probably be another coach specializing in safeties or corners, basically which ever one Slowick doesn't coach) CRedskinsRule 01-14-2010, 05:23 PM Has Waufle interviewed with us? I would like to hear that he has signed up. Lotus 01-14-2010, 05:26 PM Has Waufle interviewed with us? I would like to hear that he has signed up. Maybe he got an offer but is Waufling on whether to accept... Dirtbag59 01-14-2010, 05:29 PM Has Waufle interviewed with us? I would like to hear that he has signed up. Yes, he has. Per Redskins Insider: Redskins Insider - Shanahan's coaching staff: the story so far (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/shanahans-coaching-staff-the-s.html#more) Former Giants assistant Mike Waufle could coach the defensive line. Several New York papers, as well as NFL.com, have reported Waufle's interview with the Redskins, and though Waufle was fired by the Giants -- whose defensive line played poorly over the second half of the season, contributing to a collapse -- he maintains a solid reputation in the game. He previously coached the Raiders' defensive line from 1998-2003, years that overlapped with Redskins General Manager Bruce Allen's time in Oakland. Another candidate mentioned by NFL.com: Tim Krumrie, the former Cincinnati Begnal defensive lineman who was a longtime Cincinnati assistant. He spent 2009 with Kansas City, but was fired last week. Ruhskins 01-14-2010, 05:35 PM Yes, he has. Per Redskins Insider: Redskins Insider - Shanahan's coaching staff: the story so far (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/redskinsinsider/shanahans-coaching-staff-the-s.html#more) Pretty interesting that Shanahan asked Bugel to stay. Dirtbag59 01-14-2010, 05:45 PM Pretty interesting that Shanahan asked Bugel to stay. Not surprising though, Shannahans two best personal options got jobs elsewhere Bugel is easily one of the best line coaches in the league. Maybe in the end Bugel was a little to loyal to this bunch of guys but I wouldn't be surprised if one of them turned out to be a steal (*cough* Edwin Williams *cough*). Bugel thinks Shanahan will figure out a way to build off the existing personnel and said several players benefited from the adversity faced by this season's line. SBXVII 01-14-2010, 05:58 PM I wanted April myself...but more importantly I now trust the Redskins decision makers so Smith is fine with me. I think ARE was our main special teams problem and it seems to be unclear if keeping him back there was even Smith's decision. No, there was also the issue of whoever we put back there didn't get far either. Ever see Moss run a punt back for a TD lately? Um, No. Ever see Thomas run the KR back for a TD? Um, No. It's obvious that part of the problem is the scheme. |
