freddyg12 01-06-2010, 04:34 PM No we need them here in williamsburg at william & mary!
Love it! HGTV & espn could simulcast: historic paint colors, colonial recipes & redskins training camp! The history channel could also get involved & talk about our name & the native americans down the road at Jamestown.
I'll be waiting w/pint in hand at the green leafe!
CRedskinsRule 01-06-2010, 04:34 PM Shanahan says he has the mindset to get JC to the "next level"
Dirtbag59 01-06-2010, 04:34 PM Slow down hoss, lol. Our schedule is beyond brutal next year (Indy, GB, Minnesota, Houston are just the home games out of the division!) so a big jump in wins is going to be very tough but we will be much improved, even if the standings don't immediately reflect it.
Next year some of those teams on there might look like powderpuffs, though I wouldn't count on Indy being one of them. Green Bay on the other hand could go either way, and Minnesota....well Brett Farve + Offseason. Houston, well they're tough offensively but I think if we get a football team going we can beat them, though it's not like we have a whole lot of room to talk about beating teams, at least for now.
12thMan 01-06-2010, 04:38 PM Wow, 10-11 wins? We have holes at QB, 3-4 OLmen, CB, RB, and we couldn't win 5 games in 2009. It will be a good year if we win 8 games.
I think we lost at least four or five games on coaching; two on Suisham's foot alone. This team doesn't lack effort or talent, the guys leading the team just didn't get the best out of the 53 man roster. That's the trick in the NFL. It's not having a roster full of Pro-Bowlers, it's getting the best out of a bunch of average Joes.
Look, every team has holes. The Vikings, the Saints, the Colts, on and on. Our deficiencies were so glaring because our guys weren't prepared and properly coached week in and week out. So I think a great/good coaching staff closes that gap by at least four or five games.

That's what I'm thinking. there's always that team that wins a few more than everyone really thinks they could, but I don't think we can expect a winning team in 2010. A competitive team, yes.
I think Shanny is smart to praise JC for now; he knows how to publicly raise the value of his players & get the max out of trades, so if a few teams are interested I expect a tender & subsequent deal. I'd like to see JC stay though.
rbanerjee23 01-06-2010, 04:40 PM Wow...I have to say that I am very encouraged by what I heard. Also, did you guys know that Shanny has veto power in terms of personnel decisions, a privilege that DS has never given other head coaches?

I know some still don't want to believe it, but yeah he's given up his power.
wilsowilso 01-06-2010, 04:42 PM Maybe this year really was rock bottom?
