Snyder looks like he's finally got it. Now let's see these guys roll their sleves up and go to work.

I have sirius and marty does a show on there and he has on many occasion been asked about snyder and has always said the same thing, he likes snyder and his passion but he loathes vinny and said snyders problem was vinny 100%. remember marty fired vinny.

Yeah, I just reread the quote and while he criticized Snyder he also had good things to say about him. With Vinny, well he just laid into him, and given that story he should have. Guy was a snake, and personally I regret ever giving him the benefit of the doubt. I wonder what Vinny is doing now. Hopefully he's been excommunicated from Redskins park.

Thought this was good

D.C. Sports Bog - Shanahan enters, Snyder steps aside (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/dcsportsbog/2010/01/shanahan_enters_snyder_steps_a.html)

He really does listen to the fans. Personally Snyder was never really the true problem and even if he was it was a problem that could be corrected. In other words he just had to learn how to hire the right guys then step aside, thats all he had to do to become a top tier owner. Sure it took him 10 years to do it, but the point is he learned from his mistakes. Now you have an owner willing to spend whatevers necessary that doesn't meddle when it comes to football decisions....hopefully.

Vinny on the other hand as a player evaluator, people person, and GM was a lost cause.

Hey SFREDSKINS, you should beg Summo to turn this into your avatar:

I'm impressed with Shanny, I predict if Portis stays, he will come in 25 pounds lighter and have that blazing speed we seen in Denver, and if not... his fat ass is gone!!!!!

I know some still don't want to believe it, but yeah he's given up his power.

I thought a great metaphor for the future was Snyder NOT sitting at the table with Allen/Shanahan during the presser, and not speaking. He simply shook their hands and stepped aside. Very telling.

Well for sure we know Devin, Kelly, and Davis will be penciled in as starters next year. I'm also excited about Marko having another full year of camp under his belt. I really think 10-6 or 11-5 is realistic next season.

And I haven't even started drinking Kool Aid yet!

So Cooley is either getting traded or benched?

The best part of the whole day was when Kelly Johnson asked MS about the recent comments between Portis and Cambell. His response made me smile. He basically told her that those things happen and that the Redskins would be a team that keeps that kind of stuff in house and that all of the players would know thats how he wants it.

There will be no more BS coming from #26 about teamates, coaches, whatever when it comes to the TEAM. I always hated that shit anyway. If a tem has some internal disagreements, Why do we as fans have to know about it? Too much inside access if you ask me and I think it all stops with MS.

Absolutely.

One another point, for those saying we saw this with Marty in 2001 and this will be 2001 all over again. This is not the same situation. Marty was running everything-the scouting process, the draft process (not just draft day but all the weeks and months leading up to it-choosing who to interview at the combines, who to bring in for pro day, etc), managing the cap. Marty, as is his preference, ran everything and didn't have much of a front office. Just him and the scouts. Allen will take the lead in a lot of those areas which should provide for a more efficient organization. And allow Shanahan to focus primarily on coaching, even with final say on personnel decisions

Yeah no doubt.

It's almost as if Danny has thrown his hands up in the air and said ok you win, I'm giving up the power, let's try something different. I mean he fired Vinny for crying out loud, the significance of that alone seems to have been lost on folks a bit.
