Every time I think about Stump I'm reminded of the years he played with the then St. Louis Cardinals. In a game against the Redskins Dexter Manley offered him $100.00 to fumble, two plays later Stump fumbled. I don't know if Dexter ever paid-up, it's just something I always think of when someone mentions Stump Mitchell.

I liked Stump as a player, he was a tough hard nosed guy on some crappy teams.

I loved the guy as a player. When he was playing in St. Louis I would always say I wish he was playing for us.

Good for him....Maybe he'll offer Jerry Gray a job with him.
Gray would get a better offer than that.

Under normal circumstances one would think he should be able to get a better offer, but with Rooney-Gate rumors circulating about his interview some in NFL circles have already frowned on his behavior. He maintains he and Zorn are still friends, some say Zorn may be the only one willing to give him a job, if he's fortunate enough to find another HC job himself.

Zorn won't be a HC in the NFL for awhile, if ever again. Gray will probably eventually land DC job or a college HC job, I'm guessing anyways.
