If they want to remain in the NFL they have to come in everyday and work hard. This isn't the first coaching staff in history to know it's going to get fired at season's end. It's an unfortunate part of any sport but if they want to remain part of the league then they can't tank it.

No doubt I agree.

It just has to be tough putting in all those hours knowing that your time is quickly coming to an end. And there's the stress of moving, selling a house perhaps, finding a new job, etc. Obviously those things come with the territory for being a coach, but still it's gotta be hard. And all of these things are coming to a head around holiday time.

Oh yeah, it's unbelievably hard. No question. Especially when everyone in the public knows about it too.

Thumbs up for our young players stepping in and stepping up while our starters have been out injured.

Thumbs down to pretty much everything else.

Couldn't Snyder have averted the tough spot that the coaches and players are in by getting gentlemen's handshakes from Allen and Shanahan (or whoever) and just had one huge day of firing and hiring next Monday? I know a handshake is not a contract, but he still does not have an official contract with Shanny.

While I don't necessarily disagree with Snyder's moves, his timing creates many problems, such as uncomfortable positions and an end-of-year downward spiral on the field.
