Shanny and Allen said they wanted to work together. We have Allen. End of story for me until a source more reliable than PFT chimes in otherwise.

Yea PFT is good at times but I won't trust here... Shanny will be our HC in 2 weeks.

It's not like the story originated at PFT.

No. Here's why....

1) He wants Allen as his GM. He's said so in his interview with Buffalo.
2) Chicago is not as exciting for him. This is the NFC BEast baby.
3) He and DS are good friends. They talk all the time.
4) I'm telling you the deal was made back in Oct. It's not rocket science.

5) The Bears owe Lovie Smith $11 million over the next 2 years and are not going to pay both of them.
6) The Bears aren't going to fire Lovie Smith anyways
7) The only reason he's not been named yet is because the season isn't over

As for the Houston rumors, Schefter was very clear on Mike and Mike this morning. His son will join him wherever he coaches next year because his contract is up at the end of the season. If Houston fires Kubiak, Shanahan would not accept the job out of respect for him. They are extremely close (Shanahan was Kubiak's best man) and there's a tremendous amount of professional respect.
