Rumor: Panthers Could Trade RB Williams!!! What Is He Worth?MTK 12-23-2009, 09:46 PM Some of us never learn. :nono: skinsfaninok 12-23-2009, 09:46 PM There's only 2 RB's I would even want to trade for (A.D) and C.Johnson 53Fan 12-23-2009, 09:50 PM He's probably worth a 2nd rounder....but not ours. :) Hog1 12-23-2009, 10:16 PM I would need to consult with Bruce first..........our new GM He has a plan FRPLG 12-23-2009, 10:59 PM I wouldn't trade a 1st for Jim Brown in his prime. RBs are too easy to plug and play. A good line and decent RB = 1300 yards and 15 TDs. A good RB and a decent line = 1300yards and 15 TDs. The problem is it is about 1/5 as easy to put together a decent RB since you don't have to actually assemble one. A line on the other hand takes 5 guys. And I haven't even brought up that there are a ton of decent backs in the league and available in the draft every year. The main distinction between a great deal of them is the ability to simply stay healthy for a 5 year period. 44Deezel 12-23-2009, 11:05 PM DeAngelo Williams Final Days as Carolina Panther? (http://www.betfirms.com/panthers-williams-trade-1223/) First of all, I believe we should stockpile draft picks I'm not at all saying we should trade for Williams just simply what is he worth base on his production? Schefter also reported this on ESPN.com but I don't have ESPN Insider. Cooley for Williams straight up! tryfuhl 12-23-2009, 11:11 PM We have a near beginning of the round pick so I definitely wouldn't do a 2nd round. I'll second the guy who said Jahvid Best should get a look; but I haven't watched enough teams to know who else is out there. mlmdub130 12-23-2009, 11:25 PM We have a near beginning of the round pick so I definitely wouldn't do a 2nd round. I'll second the guy who said Jahvid Best should get a look; but I haven't watched enough teams to know who else is out there. there is a lot this is a really talented offensive draft at almost all positions, i would say qb and rb have to be the deepest they have been in a while, there will be great players at both positions into the 4th round Redskin Warrior 12-23-2009, 11:55 PM Some of us never learn. :nono: A lot of y'all replies are like i was lobbying for Williams to be brought in but that not what i asked. i simply asked with what is his worth or trade value on the market. It's hard to judge IMO because he's always split carries with another RB plus they obviously thought he wouldn't be the featured back when they drafted Stewart & placing him on the trading block now.
