Yeah, but his comments of JC dont lead to the conclusion that he not a good QB in terms of learning offenses. I think Jaws is noting how the constant change is the root cause of the issue, not Campbell.

But Rodgers has been in the same system for 2-3 years, plus he was groomed by one of the best in the business. I dont put Brunell or Collins near Farve, so lets not even think about that. Bad Oline + constant change = bad QB play. I doubt any QBs would have succeeded here. warriorzpath 12-21-2009, 12:19 PM Jaworski is good at breaking down film, but it seems like he already has an opinion about what he is going to analyze before he sees the film. And here's a sentence from the article that I don't agree with. For the most part, he sees a team with Pro Bowl effort across the board and Pop Warner talent where it hurts most. Calling the redskins, Pop Warner talent is somewhat demeaning. No matter how you judge the talent, I would take this version of the redskins over the one that started the season any day. 53Fan 12-21-2009, 12:19 PM Yeah, but his comments of JC dont lead to the conclusion that he not a good QB in terms of learning offenses. Plus we haven't exactly been restocking our 0-line with a bunch of studs over the years. He tried to back that statement up, but I did think it was unfair to the players who have excelled recently. They haven't been facing Pop Warner teams, and have been increasing successful. warriorzpath 12-21-2009, 12:34 PM Again JC haters can point to Aaron Rodgers, because he has a pretty bad line. And I had this discussion in another thread - which of these has had more of a positive impact on the team in playing well recently: 1) Campbell's play or 2) the play of the offensive line ? MTK 12-21-2009, 12:35 PM His take on that long run by Ganther is on target. Ganther doesn't have much straight line speed. Gotta love his heart, but that's the kind of play where you need someone to take it the distance. warriorzpath 12-21-2009, 12:37 PM His take on that long run by Ganther is on target. He seems to be saying that the team's talent at certain positions was that much greater at the beginning of the season. 53Fan 12-21-2009, 12:48 PM ... but if Portis is in there, is it any better ? No. But I think it points out our need for a speedy young RB. warriorzpath 12-21-2009, 01:21 PM No. But I think it points out our need for a speedy young RB. But I think the point he was making was in comparison to the redskins team and players that started the season to what it is now. Here's another paragraph taken from the article: "When you consider this bunch that's playing right now with what they started the season with -- the offensive line, the tight end, the running backs -- I mean, it's a practice squad team," Jaworski said. |
