artmonkforhallofamein07 01-05-2010, 05:47 PM ^^Yeah what gives... can they just get it all done and over with. :)
I'd like to know for sure how part of the coaching staff is going to look next year.
CHAMP757 01-05-2010, 06:05 PM this could be a good thing, we know snyder will pay him so hopefully they're discussing what shanahan needs to be sucessfull
BigHairedAristocrat 01-05-2010, 06:09 PM Bill Cowher didn't win a single NFL Game in the 2007-2008 seasons....while Shanahan won 15. End of discussion :)
Interesting. I also read that Shanahan lost 17 games in those same two seasons, while Cowher went unbeaten. :)
CRedskinsRule 01-05-2010, 06:21 PM No updates on Shanahan anywheres? or anything on Buges retirement?
Seems like we would have heard about the plans for Buges retirement. But instead it just went silent. I hate to say this, but remember the days after JG's retirement, everyone thought it was a lock for GW, then it went silent, and suddenly he wasn't the candidate anymore. I may be remembering wrong, but it worries me that the Buges excuse was floated, and nothing concrete has followed.
Skins fan 44 01-05-2010, 07:09 PM ESPN is saying it is only a matter of signing and agreeing on his salary.
Beemnseven 01-05-2010, 07:24 PM you are missing something. The 10 more games accross the board is the result of one extra season of coaching... resulting in 1 additional potential season for a playoff appearance.
As i stated over and over again, cowhers teams not only made the playoffs more times than shanahan (66% of the time vs 47%), but when his teams made the playoffs, they actually won games. shanahan didnt. there's an even greater disparity if you look at just the last 3, 5 and 10 years. Shanahan had most of his success early in his career. cowher had more success recently. its a "what have you done for me lately" league and cowhers done MUCH more lately. Both are better than Zorn, but Cowher is immensely better than Shanahan.
Dude, Shanahan was 8-5 in the playoffs. Again, he won 8 games in the playoffs.
You cannot say Shanahan didn't win in the playoffs.
"Cowher is immensely better than Shanahan."
Once again -- check the trophy case. Shanahan: 2, Cowher: 1
Advantage: Shanahan.

Clayton just mentioned the Buges thing again, who knows.

Don't worry. The deal is done.

Are you talking about ESPN 3D (http://www.lightreading.com/document.asp?doc_id=186354&site=cdn&f_src=lightreading_gnews)or the Shanahan deal (http://www.denverpost.com/sports/ci_14127983).
